  I reached out to ask for a quote on June 29th via Google. We used the chat function to text, and agreed they would be coming out for “For the roof quote, plan on up to 90 minutes so the inspector can measure everything and walk you through options, and we do ask that both homeowners are present if possible.” We agreed for today June 2nd at 5pm. Since then until 5:03pm I had zero communication with anyone from the company. At 5:03 pm I reached out via same chat function to confirm that the appointment was set for 5:00pm today June 2nd. I was told “ Hi Stephanie, yes that's still the plan, we're working to finalize it in our scheduling system right now. If anything changes on our end we'll text you right away, but you're still set for the 5-7 PM quote window today at (address).” I reached out once again at 5:18pm to see if there was any update. I was then told “ Our quotes are scheduled in a 5-7 PM arrival window, but you should absolutely get a heads up if anything is running behind. Are you still at (address) right now so I can get you a live ETA?” I reply yes and they confirm they are reaching out to get an ETA. At at 5:40 I get told “ Hi I appreciate your patience! I'm checking with our scheduling team for the inspector's exact arrival time and will update you as soon as possible. Thank you for hanging in there!” I express how this is unacceptable and they reply with “May I ask what time you were expecting them to arrive and whether you received any calls or texts at all from the inspector?” I have zero communication with anyone except when I reach out first, and still zero ETA. I was then told “I understand, Stephanie - and I'm truly sorry for the lack of communication and the confusion. I can't process the cancellation directly here, but I'm passing this to a teammate right now to **cancel the appointment and make sure no one shows up**. They'll follow up shortly to confirm it's canceled.” At 6:04 pm. Over one hour of expected arrival time, again zero communication, zero ETAs. What a waste of time for everyone involved.

  0 stars. I submitted a request for a quote with Monarch, along with 11 other contractors in my area. Most of them replied with contact info and asked when to schedule an appt for a quote, I told all of them the same thing, that I would be reading thier reviews and would contact the selected ones next week. I told Monarch the same, but every time I replied they would reply again trying to schedule an appt or obtain my address and cell phone despite being very clear, multipke times I would not be scheduling until next week. I began to suspect I was communicating with an AI bot and just asked that my request for a quote be removed, as I personally dont like pretending im talking to a person when im actually talking to a bot, nor do I wish to improve an algorithm unknowingly or submit my info so it can be sold l, distributed, or analyzed. To be clear, I do not know that Monarch uses AI bot to respond to quote requests, that is just my opinion. Regardless. I do not recommend using them, the bot or person I was communicating with clearly was not hearing or respecting my very clear desires regarding my project.
