My wife and I hired Mountain Homes of WNC to build our house a couple years back. I'm and engineer and she's an interior designer so they had their work cut out for them as far as demanding clients. They surpassed every expectation we had of them. While they won't be the least expensive builder, nor are they the most expensive. They shoot for the middle and manage to achieve very good quality construction. They are easy to work with and accommodating to most reasonable requests. Their professionalism and honesty is top tier. For a lot of people when they reach the end of a construction project, they can't wait to be rid of their contractor for one reason or another. Our experience was exactly opposite this. Alan and Jeff have become good friends. They are definitely one of if not the best builder in Asheville and the surrounding areas. Give them a shot.
