  My project was a complicated and difficult endeavor. I own a historic building in downtown Sylva and have trusted Ward with the maintenance and upkeep of both my commercial and residential properties through their Ward Guard program for years. So, when it came time to replace two commercial air units on top of my historic building, I naturally turned to Ward. They have proven leadership under Brad W. that I trust to do the job right and stand behind their work. Comfort Specialist Jeremy C. worked with me to select the best possible units for my building and made me feel confident in my choices by being well informed and very knowledgeable in his field. Nicki was the project coordinator and assisted in securing the financing I wanted to provide the best economic solution for an expensive install. Every step of the way she provided quick responses and ever quicker solutions to any obstacles in planning the project. She was able to work seamlessly with my carpenter, Robin S. of Birdseye Handyman, to ensure a complicated install would be successful. Ward coordinated with NC DOT, Town of Sylva, Sylva Fire Department, and contractors for crane services to accomplish the removal of the two old units, demo of the old platform, building of a new platform, and placement of the new units. We only needed to close the road for the crane for one hour...that is how well planned and professional this project was handled. Seth, Dillon, and their entire crew worked tirelessly throughout the day to complete the install before my business tenant opened at 5pm that very same day. They were the best crew I have worked with as a commercial landlord. All I can say is thank you to all of the people at Ward for making a very stressful process so much easier. I felt liked I was valued and heard throughout the entire process.

  The Ward team recently replaced our home’s HVAC system, and we’ve also used them for smaller repairs in the past. Their pricing is competitive, but what truly sets them apart is their excellent communication and customer support. They stand behind their work with real integrity, which is priceless. From sales to installation, office staff, and even the General Manager who personally called to check in, every single person we dealt with was friendly, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Hiring a contractor for a big job can be stressful, but we never regretted choosing Ward. They kept us well informed, supported, and proved there’s a reason they’ve been a staple in WNC for decades. Thank you, Ward!

  On behalf of my mother, I would like to say a very big THANK YOU!, to Ward and plumbing systems tech Jeb. He was very professional and courteous. Mom stated it was like angels had arrived to fix her plumbing issue (which I unfortunately caused by trying to repair a leaky Delta shower cartridge). Mom was very happy that you were able to fit her in 4 days early, and she is very happy and satisfied with Ward and has recommended Ward to others for their plumbing and or heating and or air conditioning needs.   Dewayne L. was so kind, professional, informative, thorough, and organized. As a first time home owner, he answered all my questions and gave additional context where I needed it to bring me up to speed on what a homeowner should know generally about their home’s plumbing and what the specific issues were in my home’s plumbing. He prioritized the work to restore my home’s safety and bring back hot water. Ward should know they have a very talented employee in Dewayne — both in plumbing expertise and client interaction/education. Thank you so very much, Dewayne!

  I was going to wait until their work was complete, but who knows when that will even happen. If you’re looking for a reliable, customer service focused plumber that can collaborate with you to properly fix your issues in a timely manner, please look elsewhere. We are still getting the runaround from Ward for work from an incident that occurred at the beginning of February. Misleading quotes, work that didn’t pass inspection on the permits they pulled, managers who promise we’re a top priority and then ignore our pleas for help… the list goes on. Also if you make the mistake we did of becoming a “valued” member with a monthly subscription, expect that you won’t reap any benefits.
