Currently waiting on my FOURTH appointment to show up. The first 3 didn’t show. The first technician said he showed up for the appointment, but apparently didn’t think to knock, text, or call to alert me that he was here. The only reason why I’m still using their services is because it is now Sunday, and I’m hoping they’ll wave the emergency service fee since they’re the ones who botched the weekday appointments. Hopefully they’ll show up today. My house has been without running water for 3 days now and I feel like this company is actively trolling me (joking, but come on). I’ve never written a review in my life, but wow this is so crappy I just had to get it out of my system.

Went to replace a GFCI in the garage myself. Second time in 13 years. Would not reset, Jake was polite and professional, but he certainly got his commission off of this job. Replaced with a “new” “appliance rated” GFCI instead of a residential model. Should have asked for an itemized breakdown, but my frustration with the situation got the best of me. No veteran or first responder consideration. If Michael and son wants to contact me and breakdown a $450 GFCI replacement, please do. They responded same day. The GFCI is listed online at $40-$5O, $69 service charge, $350 to unscrew and screw six gfci screws. My fault for not being more diligent after a long day. Buyer beware with Michael and Sons.

I have been a customer of Michael and Son for years... I had my scheduled AC unit maintenance check up this past March. Appointment went well and there were no issues reported. The next day however the temp in the house was 80 degrees. Contacted M&S and they said they would come out a few days later. It was hard to wait "a few days" as the temp outside was around 80-85 degrees (I have 2 young kids) so had a friend come out who is a HVAC tech. He told me there was a leak (hissing sound) in a pipe in the attic and all the freon had leaked out. My friend thinks the issue was created by the M&S rep as the rep did not acknowledge that they created the issue. I find it very odd and highly unlikely that there was a leak one day after the M&S rep had checked the HVAC unit. Ended up paying $1000 dollars to replace the freon (8lbs, to my friend). I reached out to M&S to cancel my services with them (obviously) as I was very frustrated with the situation. The rep on the phone asked me why I cancelled the services and once I gave her the reason, she said she would pass it along to management and see if they could help out... Almost 6 weeks later, no call back or any response from M&S. Long story short, don't do business with these guys as they are ripping off customers which is complete garbage.

I've had a lot of work done by Michael and Son's over the past 3 years after buying my current home. During that time I've spent around $15,000 with them and have had a problem with the quality of work from repairs and services rendered. First problem is with a flood light that was installed. The cut in the soffit was done free hand instead of using a hole cutting bit and looks terrible, a squarish hole for a round fixture. Next was a electric car charger I've had installed. The patch panel was cut sloppy to avoid a romex 90° elbow. Giant gash cut in the panel and filled with silicone. I paid to have a bathroom fan installed and got a $25 replacement Broan motor wheel insert plugged in for $400. Extremely loud and was dupped on what was to be done. Had a drain pan float switch installed and the drain pan was left a mess with machine screws, insulation, fuses and wire stripping inside. Also had the upstairs air handler serviced and screws were not replaced back into the unit and left on the floor. When I had recessed lighting installed in the front room he couldn't snake the wires without cutting a hole in the ceiling and instead of leaving it ready to be patched he installed a junction box and put a cover over it and the placement wasn't square with the lights. Had someone come to clean a drain clog. The technician couldn't clear the clog because he didn't have the tools on had and had to call another service provider to come take care of it. He still charged me a service fee to show up even though he came unprepared and I had to pay another Michael and Son's technician to come and clean the line. Had two hose bibs replaced and they left fittings and crimp rings in the crawl space. The repair was done half fast. All my plumbing connections are copper and they used plastic elbows because they were cheaper and now doesn't match the rest of what is installed. Copper is the gold standard for PEX B. One of the hose bids burst already, less than a year, This place doesn't seem to care about craftsmanship or quality and instead does whatever is easiest for them and cheapest for them to buy.

I had water leaking from my ceiling and was able to get a plumber out within a couple of hours. Ryne was knowledgeable and helpful and explained what was happening every step of the way. Daniel was able to explain what needed to be done in terms of remediation and helped get me connected with a team within the same day. Marcus and his partner explained exactly what they would do over the next couple of days to address the water damage. Also, my dog loved them all! Update 5/14 While the immediate response was positive I would like to point out that this feels like terrible customer service. I’m more than happy to pay any existing balance. However the incident at my house occurred on April 28th. On that date I contracted Michael and Sons to complete the remediation. I was told at that time I would receive an estimate for the cost which I never received. The work was completed and equipment removed on May 1st. I did receive the invoice finally yesterday, May 13th. That is more than two weeks after being told I would receive an estimate. Then today, May 14th the day after finally receiving the invoice I received two emails asking why I have not yet paid the invoice I received yesterday. I’m very unimpressed and will be retracting my previous positive review and replacing it with the content of this email. Considering the size of this company I doubt it will mean anything to you but I am very unimpressed with your company and will choose to use any other company moving forward.
