Two appointments cancelled. Not a good look, when someone has a substantial size project available to do. Our first appointment was cancelled because their child was injured at school and that had to be handled. Totally understandable as we all have or have had small children. It happens. Rescheduled for the following week at the same time for mid morning. Didn't show. I texted and was told they had forgot about the reschedule. Said they would come that afternoon, only to be texted in the afternoon to say they can't make it because they have a church function. I have patience on a lot of things but not being able to show for an appointment on three different occasions is beyond my patience level. There are plenty of other contractors out there that will be happy to have the business.

These guys get it done. I've had them out several times, NEVER late, no excuses, rain or shine. The craftsmanship is appearent, the finished product surpassed expectation. The communication is great, they are willing to entertain ideas and don't try to needlessly upsell you. Highly recommend for all your carpentry needs.

We had a large “to do” list ranging from mold treatment, siding replacement, building new porch steps, replacing rotting wood on building, install new lighting, and the list goes on. They did an amazing job. Highly recommended!

Frequently Asked Questions About Davie Property Restoration
Is black mold the most toxic mold?
While black mold, often referring to Stachybotrys chartarum, is known for producing mycotoxins that can cause respiratory issues and allergic reactions, it's not necessarily the most toxic mold. Some Aspergillus species, for instance, produce highly toxic compounds like aflatoxins, which can be even more harmful. The level of risk depends on the specific mold type, exposure level, and individual sensitivity. Given the wide range of potential health effects, it's crucial to have suspected mold professionally tested and removed. As Mocksville, NC's trusted mold removal service, we're committed to restoring the health of your home.
What is the difference between a mildew smell compared to mold smell?
The primary distinction between mildew and mold odors lies in the type of fungus and its impact on scents. Mildew typically produces a lighter, musty aroma, often described as 'earthy' or slightly dusty, commonly found in damp bathrooms or shower corners. It's generally less intense and easier to clean. In contrast, mold tends to emit a stronger, more pungent odor, sometimes described as sour or rotten. This is due to mold's deeper penetration into materials and its release of more spores and microbial volatile organic compounds (mVOCs). A mold smell often indicates a more severe infestation and potential health risks. If you detect either odor, it's advisable to promptly address any moisture issues to prevent further growth. As Mocksville, NC's reliable mold removal service, we can guide you on the most appropriate course of action.
Do you work with insurance companies?
Indeed, as Mocksville, NC's leading mold removal service, we collaborate with most major insurance providers. If you're dealing with a mold issue, we encourage you to reach out to Davie Property Restoration promptly.
