We are loyal customers to MTB as they installed the HVAC in our new home years ago. They are always on time, comprehensive, and professional. We had a visit today to double check our air was working at full capacity. Kory was amazing and helped me understand how to best manage our settings during this heat wave! Thank you Kory and MTB!
We have used MTB for years and are always pleased with their service. Their immediate response for a recent malfunction is greatly appreciated. We trust their professionalism, competence, and excellent customer service.
The Tech Jim was phenomenal. He was polite and very knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose and make the repair very quickly. When asked, he explained the annual system check and cleaning offered by MTB. This is a service that I recommend to everyone interested in maintaining a HVAC unit, to maximize its the systems usable lifespan. Jim was onsite within 2 hours of my call. This team came together to make sure my family was comfortable in our home during this extreme heat and humidity.
We had Charles out for our membership annual inspection. Our upstairs unit had been having trouble keeping up with the cooling during the day, but still was cooling down at night. Charles was unsure what the problem was but suggested we replace the coil. Under warranty, only paying for labor at a cost of $1200k.
When we had the repair scheduled, the unit was no longer functioning. A different technician said the issue had been misdiagnosed and the real issue was the compressor in the outdoor unit. So we could replace the compressor at a cost of $3600+, or get an entire new unit for more, obviously.
Considering we replaced the other half of the unit 2 years ago we opted for the compressor replacement.
Now, three days later at the onset of the worst extended heatwave of the summer, we were told the compressor had been ordered and once it gets here they will schedule the repair.
I have some questions about service. 1) why was the part not overnighted, or at least offered to be? 2) how is it you have so many 5 star reviews? 3) this is a dangerous condition now in our home, which could have been avoided had your tech diagnosed the issue on the first visit. Why is it MTB isn't bending over backwards to fix this immediately to retain a customer's good will?

This company is so frustrating. I moved into a brand new house and the volume coming out of each register/room is completely different (for instance, the thermostat will be set on 70 and my son's room will be 64 degrees and another room beside it will be 74 degrees). This company immediately looks for any excuse to not do any work. They will relay to me "you need to get with the builder because you have modern flush wood floor vents and you need different vents installed"....while I understand that this *could* be true, the rooms I'm asking them to look at don't even have these vents and have regular vents. It's like you have to go to war with them to actually check something out and then, for instance, just like one situation I had, they ended up finding out that they didn't have electrical running to a damper properly and the damper was stuck wide open to the air intake during the winter, which was letting 0-32 degree air in. The tech manually shut the damper and my problem was solved. This company goes out of their way to tell you that you don't have any problems, that you're fabricating them, or that you need to talk to the builder.
I specifically wanted them to look at my house because my entire second floor isn't reaching temps on the thermostat (it's currently 84 degrees outside and I have the thermostat set to 70). The guy called me at 2:40 (my appoint was scheduled for 11-3) and asked if I was still having issues and then told me they already fixed my issues (without even listening to me) and then went on to say the issue was my floor vents (again without listening to me) because my issue is on the second floor of my house - not a single room on the entire second floor of my house has a floor vent.
This company is a joke....and lazy. I wouldn't use them. I'm switching to Airtron or Morris Jenkins. I've used both at my other houses and they've always been amazing and I haven't had any issues like I have with this company.
