- ACAngela ClarkJun 1, 20261.0I’m not ignorant, and I understand prices have gone up, but I also know when I’m being taken advantage of. We’ve done business with Wayne Gravely in the past and never had an issue until now. My husband took his Cub Cadet mower in for repair. They told him it might take about a month to get to it, but they expected it would be sooner. Over three months went by with no update. During that time, my husband called and even stopped by four different times, and every time they said they hadn’t gotten to it yet. On the last visit, they admitted they had actually lost it in the back and couldn’t read the notes from when he dropped it off because the writing had faded. When they finally called, they said it was ready — and the bill was $992. Almost a thousand dollars, with no phone call for approval before doing the work. Any reputable repair shop calls first to confirm the cost, especially when it’s that high. For that price, we could have bought a good used mower. We’re extremely disappointed in Wayne Gravely in Lenoir and won’t be returning.
