  We had our deck remodeled and resurfaced by Tom and were very satisfied with his expertise and attention to detail. They worked hard everyday until the job was finished. We were very satisfied with everything they did and they were professional and informative as they completed the job.

  We couldn’t be happier with the work that Tar Heel Builders did in our outside space! They replaced and extended our deck, updated and rescreened our porch, and added a beautiful stone firepit area, completely transforming our backyard. From start to finish, Thomas and his team demonstrated an incredible work ethic and attention to detail. They took great pride in their work and made sure every aspect of the project was done right. We loved that Thomas didn’t just build what we asked for—but helped us think through the design and offered suggestions that made the finished area more functional and beautiful. Our new deck and firepit area have completely elevated our backyard, and we are excited to enjoy it for years to come. We highly recommend Tar Heel Builders to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship, great ideas, and a team that truly cares about their customers!

  Edit: three months out, our deck has a few problems. The handrail has split and a bunch of the boards are warped and cupping. Despite multiple attempts at communication, Tar Heel building refuses to come back and address these issues. Thomas and his crew just finished up our wood deck. They gave us the best price and had the job done in 2 days. Deck looks amazing, is exactly what we asked for. Thank you guys and I would highly recommend!

  We are soo pleased with our new deck. It is beautiful. Thomas and Joey were awesome and made sure we were extremely happy with the result. They were both respectful and courteous and cleaned up every day. We didn't use our deck before but we certainly will now, it's gorgeous.
