Did a competent enough service visit on my generator, but technician decided to drive down a golf cart driveway next to the house that was not designed for cars and drove over my wife's garden in the process. Lot of flower damage and didn't bother to ask if a car could use the path or apologize for the damage.

Dylan was so knowledgeable from beginning to end while he was here. He was pleasant and patient when answering our questions. He walked us thru what was was going to happen and what he was doing.and let us know when he was through. Want him to service our generator again

Dakota was very efficient with the maintenance on my Generac unit and when I mentioned that I’ve been having a challenge with an issue entirely outside of his scope he offered to help and engaged Canter Power Systems directly. I greatly appreciated his proactivity 👍

Great service from Josh from Cantor Power on our new generator. He was very thorough in not just analyzing why it had stopped, but also in giving the generator a complete review and adjusted some things that were not quite efficient from the initial installation. He also explained everything to me in terms I could understand!! Thanks to Josh Hayford!!!

During a recent storm, the power went out and my generator came on. After a few minutes, it started sounding strange, like it was struggling. It began making a thumping noise, I smelled gas, and my lights were flickering with each surge. I recorded a video of the noise so I could contact the company first thing the next morning and have a technician come out to diagnose the problem. When I called, the woman who answered the phone asked me to text her the video. After watching it, she immediately said, “Oh, that’s normal. Sounds normal to me.” I tried to explain that I’ve owned this generator for many years. It has even run continuously for three days straight after a hurricane, and it had never sounded like this before. I initially brushed off her response because she was not a technician. A short time later, she sent me a message stating that a technician had reviewed the video and said the generator sounded normal, that it did not sound like the weekly test cycle it runs on Wednesdays, and that there was no need for a technician. I found myself having to argue back and forth with her about my own generator. I explained repeatedly that smelling gas is not normal, lights flickering is not normal, and a generator surging is not normal. She continued insisting that everything was operating normally and that I did not need a technician. When I requested a technician anyway, she immediately brought up the cost of the service call. I honestly don’t understand why that was relevant at that point. It felt like she was doing everything possible to discourage me from having a technician come out. I tried to remain polite throughout the conversation, but I should not have had to argue repeatedly just to get someone to inspect a potentially unsafe issue. Eventually, after insisting that a technician be sent, one did come out. There was in fact a problem with my generator. A faulty air filter was restricting airflow, which was causing the generator to surge and was the reason I was smelling gas. This could have been a simple and professional interaction. Instead, I was repeatedly told that nothing was wrong, that the generator always sounded like that, that I didn’t need a technician, and that a service visit would cost money. In the end, the technician confirmed exactly what I had been trying to explain all along. Whoever is answering the phones at the front desk needs additional customer service training. Dismissing a customer’s concerns, especially when they involve gas odors, power fluctuations, and abnormal equipment operation, is unacceptable. My issue was real, and it was confirmed by the technician.
