- JHJames HippJul 25, 20221.0Don’t waste your time my brother rented an excavator from them it shows up the day of the job and is missing the thumb requested which we needed for the job. On the receipt we were billed for thumb and when we called they told us the checked it and it was on there ended up canceling the rental and going to herc rentals it was cheaper and I would recommend them instead of sunbelt.

I needed to rent a 16' ladder...not knowing I also had to have a trailer or a ladder rack on my truck to transport it. The guys in the yard were all over it! They didn't waste anytime loading/uploading the ladder and hooking the trailer while I set inside the vehicle. The best drive Thru service in Fayetteville NC. Awesome customer service.

After answering my questions, we set up an account & a reservation for pickup Friday afternoon. Upon arrival on Friday afternoon, you have curbside service where you call them to let them know you are there. Then pull down into the line to wait for them to bring the rental item to your vehicle, give you instructions on how to operate the piece of equipment, and then they load it into your vehicle. Very impressed with each gentleman, informative, friendly & courteous personalities. The lawnmower worked marvelously for me, spoiled me. Returned the lawnmower this Monday morning at 8 a.m., pulled in, gave them a call to let them know I was there, pulled into the line, waited a short period of time for the gentlemen to unload the lawnmower. Highly recommend them for your rentals!! Thank-you.

What do I need to rent a tool?
All you need is your driver’s license or a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card to pay for the rental upfront. No extra deposit is required.

Is a deposit required for a reservation?
For customers without a line of credit, Sunbelt Rentals does not require a deposit to rent tools and equipment. However, you will be asked for payment information when you make your reservation. Your credit or debit card will not be charged for the rental period (one ((1)) day minimum) until you pick up the equipment.
For Credit Customers, we will secure a deposit for your reservation. This deposit will be held within your account until the rental equipment is returned and the contract closed. Apply for a credit account here.
If your project is quick and you only need the equipment for a few hours, Sunbelt Rentals does offer a Rapid Return rate. Return the equipment within four (4) hours of the pickup time and we will refund the difference of the Rapid Return rate. Rates will vary based on product. Call 800-667-9328 if you have any questions.
What if I need to keep my equipment longer?
If you need assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can extend the rental for you. When you keep the equipment longer, we will add the additional time and charges to your contract and credit card. Please refer to the rental contract, where the day, week and 4-week rates are shown for each piece of tool and equipment.
Can I return rented equipment at any location?
Typically, equipment should be returned to the same location where you initially rented it. If you need to return it to a different location, please contact the store where you rented the equipment for guidance. It’s advisable to call ahead so we can assist you in finding a convenient alternative location for your return. Your convenience is our priority.
What is the cost for the delivery of equipment to my location?
The delivery charge is calculated based on the category and class of equipment, the location of the rental location, the distance of the project site from the rental location.
Can I get tools and equipment delivered to me?
Yes, Sunbelt Rentals offers convenient delivery options from our extensive network of locations for a reasonable fee. When making a reservation, simply select the delivery option. During the reservation process, you can specify the delivery drop-off date and time, as well as your estimated equipment pickup date. The estimate is for our planning purposes and not a final date.
To initiate our equipment pickup service, you must confirm the end of your rental via the app or by phone. Additionally, if you have specific delivery instructions or prefer a designated contact person for coordination, please include those details when submitting your reservation.
For businesses utilizing a commercial credit account, associated delivery and pickup fees will be reflected in your invoice.
To receive notifications about your delivery, adjust your settings in your account to receive reminders and updates related to your delivery and pickup.
What happens if a tool breaks or quits working while I am renting it?
Sunbelt Rentals inspects and services each piece of equipment prior to each rental and should be in good working order. If you experience problems with the tool while renting it, please go to the specific Equipment Detail page within the reservation to request service. If you need additional assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can arrange for next steps or a replacement. If you want to have protection in the event of damage, Sunbelt Rentals offers a Rental Protection Plan (RPP), which can be purchased at the start of your rental.
