Jim Dickerson Company is a family owned and operated business serving the Charlotte and surrounding areas. Jim, a Charlotte native, learned the plumbing trade from his father-in-law, Chester H. Creed, and worked with him for many years before starting his own company. Jim, along with his wife Judy, formed Jim Dickerson Plumbing in 1977. What began as a one truck operation has grown steadily over the years, and today we have a large fleet of service vehicles ready to serve you. Over the years, due to customer demand, we added Electrical and Heating and Air divisions to our company. This has allowed our thousands of customers to receive the same reliable, honest service for their Electrical and HVAC needs that they’ve become accustomed to with their Plumbing service. Swing In 2005, we moved to our current 11,000 square foot location. This facility includes a 7,000 square foot warehouse that allows us to stock many commonly used parts, water heaters, fixtures, and equipment which helps us in providing prompt service, even after normal business hours and on weekends. Jim's daughters, Debbie and Angie, decided to join the company after college and they currently manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including Customer Service, Sales and Marketing, and Accounting.     First impressions are important. My first contact was with Trina who was helpful and welcoming setting my perception that the Jim Dickerson Company is “customer first” and, with every following interaction, she continued to confirm my initial perception. We had several appointments and each one increased my confidence with their integrity and professionalism. Brian fixing a gas leak knew exactly how to handle the problem and was friendly and informative at every step. Marti has patiently answering my every question. Debbie has been proactive to help with billing and sundry questions.  Chris visiting our home to discuss a water heater displayed sincere honesty and patience to suggest options without pressure to make a decision.  It definitely was a consultative conversation.  Brandon twice came to the house for electrical work and brought along his wonderful sense of humor.  All of our encounters have highlighted their genuine and consistent “customer first” culture.  This company and these people should be a model for all other companies in the Charlotte area.

    Dave with Dickerson came out on 7/3, a holiday and helped me with my water heater in my attic. They were efficient and took the time to teach me the root of the problem and gave me advice for the future should it happen again. Amazing service.

    James was the best plumber ever. He explained everything he was doing in detail. He helped me with a conference call with my granite countertop installers so I could understand the whole process. Both his work of sink disconnect , installation and reconnect and the previous work of a hot water installation by Jim Dickerson himself, rates Jim Dickerson Co. as the Best company for a n Charlotte, NC.

    AC issues going into 100 degree week, Dickerson's fit us into their schedule the next day. Was expecting a large repair bill, and come to find out it was a minor issue and the repair was much less than expected. Very satisfied.

    I highly recommend Will M from Jim Dickerson Company! He installed my water heater in record time — coordinating with suppliers, stopping any potential water damage, and completing the entire job in just a few hours. His knowledge and expertise were outstanding. He stayed calm and professional the whole time, with excellent communication that kept me fully informed. He left the area cleaner than he found it and went well beyond the call of duty. Truly impressive service!
