Great experience! Kris the technician was friendly, honest, and really knew what he was doing. He found the problem quickly, fixed it right the first time, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I really appreciated his honesty and professionalism. I would definitely recommend Barber Heating and Air to anyone who needs HVAC repairs.

I’m a first time customer and will definitely use this company again. These guys are top notch. They definitely know what they’re doing and are professionals. They showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the issue. They even had the correct part on their truck to fix the issue. My unit is 14 years old. Best outcome I could have asked for. Thanks again!!!

Barber Heating & Air came out for a maintenance check on HVAC system at my home located in Graham. I signed up for their yearly maintenance program which includes 2 checkups per year of my HVAC system. The service tech (Mike) was cordial, professional and proceeded with the necessary assessment of the unit. I feel that he was attentive and took the necessary time to fully inspect the unit. Mike was knowledgeable, kind and asked more than once if I had any questions regarding the visit. He was thorough and attentive and mentioned that all notes of concern would be kept on file at Barber for future reference. I highly recommend Barber Heating and Air and I am glad that they will be there with any concerns or fixes that may be needed in the future.

We called Barber Heating and Air at 6:30 on a Tuesday night for an AC that was not working and were extremely impressed with the prompt response and visit. Ronnie was to our house by 8:15pm and was able to get our house cooled quick! He was so friendly, thorough, and explained everything to help us prevent any further problems. For the timing and everything that was completed, the price was great. We will definitely call Barber Heating and Air for any future needs, and are now considering a maintenance plan with them! 10/10 recommend this company.

*UPDATE: Since posting this review, Barber Heating & Air's upper management reached out to me personally after reviewing my experience. They acknowledged that my family's experience fell well below their standards, sincerely apologized and admitted there were gaps in both the communication and overall customer experience. As a business owner myself, I don't expect perfection. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a company responds when they fall short. Andrew and the Barber team demonstrated humility, accountability, and a genuine commitment to their values. They listened, owned the experience, and worked to make it right. That conversation restored my confidence and trust that they truly care about their customers and stand behind their mission. Original Review: On July 4th, our downstairs HVAC system stopped working after multiple power outages. With a pregnant wife and a toddler in the house, I called Barber Heating because they offered holiday service and their slogan is, "Your comfort is our concern." I paid $436 for an emergency diagnostic but left without a working system. The technician spent roughly two hours diagnosing the unit and told us the refrigerant mitigation board (or sensor) had failed and that NOTHING could be done until the replacement part arrived the following week, leaving us to spend one of the hottest weekends of the year without air conditioning. The very next business day, the installing contractor, Duggins Mechanical, came out. Within five minutes, they implemented a temporary solution that restored cooling while the warranty replacement part is being ordered. When I contacted Barber afterward to discuss the situation, I was told, "We've already paid our tech," and was offered $50 back on a $436 emergency service charge. I understand different companies may have different repair policies, but from a customer's perspective, paying hundreds of dollars for an emergency visit only to leave believing there was no way to restore cooling, then watching another qualified HVAC company restore it almost immediately, was incredibly disappointing. At no point did Barbers Tech mention a temporary solution existed, not even one they were unwilling or unable to perform. The diagnosis may have identified the failed component, but the overall service did not justify the cost. Based on this experience, I won't be using Barber Heating again. No family should have to pay a premium emergency rate, leave believing there's no solution, and then discover the very next business day that temporary cooling could have been restored to keep us comfortable until the next business day.
