  The Wake County Farmland Preservation Steering Committee had the pleasure of working with Bradley Spiegel, AICP and Alex Smith on the recently adopted Wake County Farmland Preservation Plan. As a local farm owner and a member of the Wake County Planning Board, I was impressed with the highest level of professionalism exhibited by Brad, Alex and the entire Equinox Team. Their ability to effectively and efficiently grasp the objective and the challenges over the course of the project came from their genuine passion and innate ability to lead, listen and learn about the many challenges farmland preservation faces today. Over the course of the project timeline, their ability to transition from discovery to creative & viable solution recommendations resulted in a final product that was approved enthusiastically and unanimously by the Wake County Board of Commissioners. The citizens of Wake County will benefit from the efforts led by The Equinox Team for generations to come!

  The team from Equinox provided extraordinary support to our Foundation after Hurricane Helene. They have a genuine concern for getting our community back on its feet again. Their Master Plan to redevelop community parks was based on input not only from our foundation but results from a community survey as well. They were very open to suggestions, willing to make changes before the final product was produced and were always available for discussion when necessary. I would recommend this group of dedicated, positive thinking, energetic individuals for other community-minded projects.

  I've worked with the Equinox Team on several projects over the last 15 years and the products and service they provide are super-high quality and professional. Also, they are very responsive to communications and feedback throughout the life of the project and beyond. Most recently, MountainTrue hired Equinox to help a local steering committee develop a conservation plan for the Headwaters (southern) part of Jackson County, NC. The plan is a model that all Southern Blue Ridge counties should consider using for protection of water quality, high value natural resources, farmland, and outdoor recreation opportunities. Excellent work, team!
