- PJPeter JacobsonJul 20, 20264.0Diatribe below, but in summary- great product, disappointed in communication re. contract I had Window World replace 6 windows and my patio door. My salesperson gave a great pitch, I was happy with their product, and WW's quote came in at half the price of competitors. The ordering process was smooth, updates were regular (mostly, see my last note), and the install was as unintrusive as could be expected. I had some rotten sills discovered during removal of the old windows, and these were replaced by WW at a surcharge (this surcharge was transparent, I was told about the possibility and the price before signing my contract). The product itself is great, everything looks nice, clean and clear. I'm very happy with the windows, the door slides well, and my cat likes having an un-foggy view of the yard. I knock a star because my contract was modified without my approval or notifying me. I'd ordered a patio door with grids, thinking it was required by my HOA. I discovered as the door was being installed that there were not any grids. My final payment was less than expected. I found out after contacting the company that this was because the door grids had been struck and refunded by my salesperson without notifying me or getting my signature. Bluntly, this is a breach of contract. I could be angrier, but it's not worth it. I found out my HOA doesn't require grids, and I prefer the unobstructed look, but this should have been a choice I was presented, or at least told about.

What does "Any Size, Installed" mean?
The term "Any Size" refers to any size replacement Double-Hung window our manufacturer will construct. Currently this is a minimum width and height of 15" X 26" and a maximum of 48" X 78". "Installed" refers to the removal of a basic Double-Hung wooden window and installing your new Window World replacement window, using the existing wooden stops.
Will the replacement windows be installed from the inside or outside?
The majority of our replacement windows are installed from the outside. In some situations it may be necessary to install from the inside. On the day of installation, your installation expert will assess your unique situation and explain the process that will best suit your home.
Do you install replacement windows year-round? If so, will I lose a lot of heat/cooling at the time of installation?
Window World installs replacement windows year-round. An average installation will take only one day. Our crews install one window at a time and are trained to do what they can to minimize heating/cooling loss. The energy savings from your new windows will recover any incremental energy costs incurred during their installation many times over during their lifetime.
How can I prepare my house for my replacement windows?
Please take down curtains, blinds, or any other window treatments. Security sensors should also be removed and turned off by your security company. Please provide our installation expert with a clear path to the window(s) being replaced by moving anything that may be in the way. It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls close to the windows as they may fall during removal or installation.
How long will it take to get my replacement windows? How much time should I allow for the installation?
Since every window ordered is custom-built to fit your home and design choices, manufacturing times vary. Once delivered, the type of window being installed and the type being removed help determine the amount of time needed to complete the job. On average, each window takes about 30 minutes. Trim work and cleanup will require additional time to complete. An average job will take a single day.
What type of warranty is available for my windows?

What happens to my old windows?
After installing your new replacement windows we remove all old windows from your property and dispose of them properly. If you wish to keep your old windows or storm windows, please notify the installation crew as soon as it arrives for your installation.
What do I do if there is a problem with the windows?
Most of the issues encountered by our customers are easily corrected and don't necessarily mean that there is a problem with your window. You are always welcome to contact us for help.
