  I had mixed feelings about AstroWatt. On the positive side, it is easy to book an appointment online. They had good communications and the technician showed up on time. The technician was friendly, did the diagnosis and found out that several light switches had broken and needed to be replaced. The diagnosis fee was $175, which seems reasonable to me. Looking back, I should have just paid the diagnosis fee and replaced the switches myself. In that case, I would have given them a 5-star review. They did not exaggerate the issue, unlike some auto shops nowadays. They quoted $1039 to replace 11 switches, with the $175 diagnosis fee waived. So the net cost is $864 to replace 11 switches. The switches and panels are included. Two switches are dimmable. Even though the switches are good quality ones, they are still cheaper toggle switches. The total cost of the switches should be no more than $100. At that moment, I debated whether I should do it myself but somehow decided to use their service. I did not get other electricians' quotes and hence could not comment on their rates. In the future, I may still use AstroWatt to do diagnosis but will shop around before making decisions. If it could be a DIY, I would do it myself. No matter how simple the task is, if I hire some licensed, insured, and experienced electricians to do it, I still need to pay their rates.

  I tried a DYI switch replacement and things got harder than I thought. AstroWatt was able to provide me with a same day appointment and the service tech Colby was professional and courteous. The pricing was upfront and he explained to me the reason for the repairs. The job was done well. I would recommend their services.

  From the first encounter with Tom from AstroWatt, to our onsite estimate visit with Christian, and our install (2 EV circuits, Wallbox Power Meter installation, and Whole House Surge Protector install), the experience was top notch. I always appreciate true craftsmanship and people who really care about their quality of work. At a good price, too!   We had a couple of visits from Astrowatt in order to find the perfect solution for our electrical problems, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the professionalism and kindness of everyone who came into our home. Christian and Eric both did amazing work. One thing that I also appreciate about Astrowatt as a company is that they send a text in advace with a picture of your technician so you know exactly who to expect at your door, which as a woman I think is such a wonderful practice that I wish more companies would adopt!

  If you want an electrical company that genuinely cares about the quality of their work and their customers, then you need to consider AstroWatt Electrical. I hired them to install a subpanel in the finished garage of my single-family home, and the routing was complex. It involved running external conduit from the main panel on the completely opposite side of the house, along the daylight basement, into the crawl space, into the garage, up and across the garage attic, and finally down into the new subpanel. They handled it expertly. The estimating process was transparent and thorough. They worked closely with me to ensure the project met my exact needs, all while honoring the agreed-upon quote. A quick tip for future customers: Their business model is that once they work with you on the quote, they want you to either accept or decline it. So, if you have a big job where you want to get multiple quotes, I suggest you get their quote last. You can see their meticulous attention to detail in my attached photos. They cleanly navigated the exterior conduit past gas lines, AC electrical connections, and gutters, utilizing a heavy-duty junction box to transition into the crawl space. Once inside the garage, they didn't just run the conduit straight up. Instead, they thoughtfully hugged the conduit tightly against the brick chimney to minimize the amount of pegboard space I would lose! (Side note: if you're wondering about the foil-wrapped pipe in the photos, that is part of my active radon mitigation system.) Every person I interacted with at AstroWatt was easy to work with and clearly loves engaging with their customers. I am pleased with the results and would highly recommend them to anyone in their service area.
