  Rock Solid installed our back door and did an amazing job! Communication was great, rhey were fast, professional and left everything spotless when they were done. We will definately use Rock Solid again

  I normally do not write reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience so that other homeowners can make a well-informed decision. I contacted Rock Solid Construction of the Carolinas LLC through Lowe’s for a siding replacement estimate (from wooding onto Vinyl). During the visit, Brian explained that the company uses an advanced photo-measurement system to calculate siding quantities. According to their system, my home required approximately 3,100 square feet of siding. However, my own measurements and estimates from four other contractors were all consistently around 2,600 square feet. Rock Solid also applies an additional 18% waste factor. As a result, their final proposal was approximately 55% higher than the contractor we ultimately selected. To be clear, we did not choose the lowest bidder. We selected a contractor that we believed offered the best overall value, and the project was completed on time and with good workmanship. What concerns me most is that after receiving the estimate, we contacted both Lowe’s and Rock Solid Construction seeking an explanation for the substantial difference in measurements and pricing. We never received a clear explanation or a meaningful response. During the estimate, Brian mentioned several times that Rock Solid has a 4.8–4.9 star Google rating and suggested that this was a reason to choose them. While online ratings are important, accurate measurements, transparent pricing, and responsive communication are equally important. I cannot comment on the quality of their workmanship because I did not hire them. However, based on my experience with their estimating process, the measurements and pricing were dramatically higher than every other contractor we consulted, and neither Rock Solid nor Lowe’s provided an explanation when we asked for one. My recommendation to other homeowners is simple: obtain multiple estimates, compare the measurements carefully, and do not rely on a single quote before making a decision.

  I had a fence and new deck installed at my residence. The employees that where hired to install my fence and deck where great . They were helpful and courteous. I went through Lowe’s and Lowe’s chosen them to build the deck and fence. I price was about what I had expected. I ended up having to add a larger gate to the fence to make it wider. It was expensive and I didn’t expect it to cost that much. However I paid the fee and got the gate made wider. I did not want to compromise the Guarantee as to the work. I was happy with the outcome the deck is good and the fence is good as well . On the business end if collecting the fee to the added gate . There was no pre conversion as to the price ahead of time. Having a price quote a day before the work was scheduled would have been a courtesy I would liked to have . The price was told in on the day the scheduled service. I was not prepared to pay that money that much a higher price. I had to pay the additional amount because I had to extend my gate. So has to the work and the employees who came to do the work is a five star, as to the business end it is a four star.

  This company is absolutely horrible. I purchased exterior doors through Lowe's and they are the contractors who are supposed to install them. When they came to take the measurements they only measured one door and had to come back out a second time to measure the other door. Then when the installation was scheduled for June 9th they did not show up. I spoke with the owner and voiced my concerns and issue and never received any kind of reply back it took Lowe's stepping in on my behalf to get them rescheduled and the day before the installation I was texted less than 24 hours before they were to come saying that they changed my installation time without consulting me 1st. If you decide to have any type of installation work done by this dismal company you should run the other way.
