I wanted to make some upgrades to our home so when reaching out for some referrals, Grasser was highly recommended for their work on new builds here in New Town. From start to finish, my experience was a 10/10. From new customer intake and coordination with Kate and Megan, answering questions and coordinating (and helping me source a taper to mud and patch any holes). The company’s text messages updating me on my appointment, letting me know when someone was headed to my home and with an image of who I would expect to see arriving (which made me feel at ease with strangers in my home). I most closely worked with Billy who was hands down one of the most kind, patient, and professional electricians I could have asked for. I didn’t have a super clear vision for the lighting I wanted to put in my home and he guided me with his honest opinion and even when my direction might have shifted as the project went on, he was so kind and collaborative to adjust the scope of work and brainstorm with me. This was the first “more invasive” project I have done as a new home owner and he truly made the process easy. Also thank you to Kevin and Marc for assisting on this project! I will recommend Grasser and Billy to anyone looking for an electrician and your company will be top on my list for any future home projects (which there will be more :)). Here’s a sneak peak into our new recessed lighting that was extended throughout our living space, cabinetry lighting, and rewired powder room where we had sconces installed on the side walls and a can light to give it a more custom look. The team also moved my light fixture in my kitchen and helped me fix a bathroom fan. We love it!

I’m so glad we chose to go with Grasser. They sent one of their best technicians the very next day(Sean) to address an unique Issue with our pool. He was able to identify the issue, repair it, and identify some other gaping holes that needed quick attention. Sean was here for the greater part of the morning, and we are all back and operational now…and safer than when we started. I feel it was a fair price. Glad we have found a new electrician that we can trust.

Super job. Fixed our issues. My only somewhat disappointment was the fee charged. It turned out our 2nd issue was a simple smushed/flattened light bulb connecting tab inside the light fixture where the bulb connects. He worked mostly on our 1st issue (2 1/2 hours) where a light didn't work because it was connected to an inactive smoke detector not the light switch. Total paid around $1100, but I guess that's how it goes. At least our 2 issues were fixed. Near as I can determine based on asking AI, I possibly overpaid $100-$200. I did not take the time for 2nd estimate, since the cause of our 2 issues were unknown initially.

While home Sitting our son’s house and grandkids, the lights suddenly went out in half the house! When it was decided we needed an electrician, we didn’t know who to call, as we’re from out of state. Our search stopped with Grasser because of their great reviews. A technician arrived in about an hour to assess the situation. We were very pleased with Marc H, Who did such a thorough and professional assessment of the entire home, and explained what he was finding in everyday language. He did a great job in getting all of our lights back on and took care of a few other items he found. He definitely went the extra mile with his kindness and patience to a very inquisitive three year-old boy who wanted to know how long it would take for the light in his room to come back on! We will be sure our son knows who he needs to call for any future service!

We have used Grasser Electric for probably 20 years because the company and their employees are awesome! I have called for service and used the online scheduling and their responsiveness is top notch. We've used them long enough to see newer electricians coming up and they are just as talented as the long term ones. Sean was here yesterday and what a guy! He was extremely knowledgeable and detailed. He worked on an exhaust fan in a basement bathroom and was able to fix it, rather than replace it, which would have been a PITA. He had a great sense of humor rolled with our jokes and teasing. I'm looking forward to our next reason to call Grasser and request Sean to do the work! They are a trustworthy company and I highly recommend them.

Frequently Asked Questions About Grasser Electric & Home Services

Why do my lights flicker for no reason?

Flickering lights can signal potential issues within a specific circuit. The most common causes include loose connections or circuits that are overloaded. We recommend having a qualified electrician inspect the problem to ensure your electrical system is functioning safely.

How do I know if one of my circuit breakers is actually tripped?

Circuit breakers are designed to trip when there is an overload or short circuit. Many homeowners check their breakers but don't notice a trip because most breaker brands don't visibly shift position when tripped. To properly check, gently tap each breaker toward the off position. If a breaker is tripped, it will move easily to the middle or off position. Once identified, flip it completely to off, then back to on to reset it, provided the underlying issue has been resolved. If this method doesn't work, you may need to flip each breaker off and on until you locate the tripped one.
