  Great service. As others have mentioned, a human answering the phone at first call was refreshing, they were kind and I could tell they cared about helping us. Plumber Dave communicated well, was flexible with timing to fit around our schedule, provided great service including some tips on how to potentially keep the issue from happening again. Super personable and I think he and my husband are likely to stay in touch as friends outside of business in the future -- felt like a true win-win kind of service call! Affordable Plumbing and Sewer was not the "cheapest" main-line clearing company I could have called, but I know from experience that cheapest is not always the most affordable and I know I made the right choice calling them for this one.

  The reason for the 2 star review is with their front office. I called and asked for an estimate to replace a wax ring, something 2 other plumbers were able to quote me on. I was told $99 service fee or the total cost with labor, whichever was higher. I asked again, what does it cost to replace just the ring, knowing the labor involved. Her answer was the same and I should have taken that as misleading. When the plumber showed up he had a price list for parts and labor of $320. If I'd known that I would have gone with a different plumber, straight up. I had used this company multiple times over the years at three different houses and been pleased with the service and upfront pricing. I was expecting that same level of honesty. It makes me sad that they have changed. The plumber they sent did the work quickly and professionally. I have no complaint with him. I will not use a company that uses misleading practices. This was the last time. I can't recommend them anymore. I saw from another review that they were purchased by new ownership and it shows. They are off my preferred vendor list of plumbers.
