  We used Luminous Flooring for two separate projects. The first one, led by Austin, was to repair the first floor of the house we'd just moved into that had been severely damaged by the sellers' moving company. There were gouges throughout all the rooms and even up the stairs where furniture had been dragged out. The gouges extended deep into the wood, making it impossible to just "buff out." Before the initial complete sand down, Austin sanded down several different areas and applied different stains so I could choose one. Austin and his team carefully moved our furniture, removed and reattached our quarter round (shoes), and taped off all of their work area well enough that there was absolutely no dust anywhere else in the house. He broke down exactly what would happen on which day, and the timeline for allowance of people, cats, dog, and furniture back onto the floors. His crew was always on time, courteous, and professional. Our floors look incredible, the grain pops beautifully, and the sheen is exactly right. Our second project was led by Alan. We decided to sand and refinish our second floor so it would match the first floor. Although the previous movers hadn't damaged the upstairs, there were very deep gouges left over from ancient carpet stretchers used throughout the previous years. Alan and his crew replaced more than 40 boards in that room in addition to the sanding and staining. They worked incredibly hard in stifling heat (even with the A/C on, the upstairs was warm) and even placed extra filters over our air intake to catch the dust from sanding and keep it from entering into our own filter. Again, everything was taped off expertly, quarter round removed and reattached, and new thresholds placed in a few doorways that needed them. Both projects took roughly a week. All crew members were mindful of making sure certain doors were closed to keep our cats from roaming where they shouldn't (they were pretty scared of all the noise anyway). We also received a certified Bona wood floor mop and solution to help keep our floors beautiful. My husband and I can't say enough great things about the stellar refinishing job the two crews from Luminous Flooring did on our 1939 wood floors. While they may not be exactly as they were in 1939, they are now all repaired, smooth, and look as close to the original color as they possibly can. 10/10 would hire again!

  The crew was exceptional. Very polite and took great care of our home. Their knowledge and workmanship was excellent. We are very happy with our wood floors, they look brand new!

  Thank you for all of your team's good work! I have especially appreciated the front office's warmth and efficiency in getting my job scheduled, Matt's great communication, and Alan's attention to detail and adaptability as we have had to cope with a plumbing issue during his time on the job.

  We love our refinished hardwood (maple) floors! The Luminous Flooring crew was attentive to details, always courteous, and Loyd explained the next steps clearly and in a timely manner. I recommend them because of their stellar communication and amazing results.

  If you're looking for a flooring company, stop looking, you've found them. Luminous Flooring exceeded every expectation I had for my kitchen remodel. From the first conversation to the final walk-through, every member of their team was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoyable to work with. They made what could have been a stressful project feel easy, and they always showed up with a positive attitude (and a good sense of humor). I'm glad I made a decision to go to the Caseyville Home Show and met these folks. We ran into a few challenges along the way (this is an almost 100 year old house with original floors). They worked with me every step of the way to find solutions and make sure everything turned out right. That level of customer service is hard to find these days. The craftsmanship is outstanding. The attention to detail is obvious, and the finished floors look absolutely incredible, and the price was very reasonable. I couldn't be happier with the final result. It's also refreshing to support a family-owned business that clearly takes pride in its work and treats customers like people, not just another job. I recommend Luminous Flooring without hesitation. If you're comparing flooring companies, you can stop now -- these are your people.
