  Well I just paid $70 for a person to come to my house and talk to me and give an estimate ( spent 15 mins max) and he wouldn't even replace a shower head for the price. I already knew and said that I need to replace my toilet..so I don't understand why they can't give a quote over phone but had to come here just to give me some numbers. May be other people know thats how these companies work but I didnt. So lesson learned.

  Our air conditioner decided to act its age during a heatwave. Despite a week of temperatures in the low 90s, one call to McQuillan and I was able to have somebody on site later that day. The representative, Justin, get a very thorough inspection of the house, the existing system, and talked with us about what we were looking to accomplish. He then did the one thing that always makes me trust people a bit more: he told me not pick the most expensive options because they were overkill for the house. This is in sharp contrast to the other company I had out, which is named after a Greek and Roman God, who tried to sell me a system for a house twice our size. They were able to get installation scheduled for one week later. The technicians that came out were kind, courteous and professional. The removal of the old system and installation of the new one took a full work day, but when they left the only evidence of their work were the new units in the basement and the yard, they cleaned up beautifully. Highly recommended!

  I drive for a medical transport company and had a wheelchair client in my van. I was driving south on 35W around 9:30 this morning and there was a Mcquillan truck in the left lane. I gradually got closer to it and after being behind it he refused to move over so I got in the right lane to go around him.As I got past him, I turned on my blinker to get back in the left lane. As I did that he accelerates quickly so I can't get back in the lane. After being behind him for many more miles, he gets over to the third (far right) lane at the 35W/35E split and slows down. As I pass him he gives me the finger. This was van #222 and the employee was a black man. I point this out only to narrow down who the employee is--if the company is going to do anything about it--which I would doubt. If this is the kind of employee this company employs I'm certainly not going to trust them with any home repairs.

  Technician was fast and efficient. Explained issues and resolved them quick. However with a window of 8am-12pm and an expectation to be home during the tine, the tech did not arrive until 2pm. Edit: I don't fault the tech for the late arrival but for McQuillian to set these expectations and not deliver is disappointing. Dispatch can only tell me the tech is finishing up another appointment. Make sure you take a whole day off of work because they can arrive at any time.

  Got a new AC installed last July from McQuillan, it stopped working in May this year. AC is not even a year old, called for service and was told they were very busy so had to wait 2 weeks for them to come out. Waited the 2 weeks, they cancel on me the day of my appointment stating they didn't have the technicians. Said they will send someone out first thing the next day, I'll be the first call of the day and they'll be out between 8:30am-9:30am. Well it's 11:10am and just got a message saying they had other appointments before me that took longer. So who knows if they will even show up now, and i have throw away my plans for the day just to accommodate them now? Would not recommend their services, very poor communication and they did not hold up to their word. Wasted so much time.
