Our tech Ricky Oufekerk just came out for our one year inspection. He was very thorough and informative. Would certainly recommend!

I recently scheduled anchors to be installed in our 120 year old farm house. I was advised by Charley the best solution was anchoring our crumbling brick wall. I was hesitant, but trusted his advise. Last night, we had water pouring into our basement walls. Most of our brick is missing. We ran buckets outside for hours. A different professional advised anchoring a bowing wall with bricks missing is NOT a good idea. The new professional will install a sump pump for much less than Groundworks quoted (we were quoted $11,000) as well as fix the problem (the bowing wall) by jacking up the home, escavating, replacing bricks, mortoring, and perhaps replacing the entire wall. Due to recent flooding and the new professional opinion, we explained to Grounworks anchors will no longer help. They refuse to give our $2,500 deposit back. It has been 9 days since we signed the contract. Our loss. I am glad we didn't go through with the entire process. They couldn't tell me what happens if their anchors failed - only that they "gaurantee they wouldn't". They couldn't point to a place in the contract that gaurantees what they were saying. All we can do as new homeowners is learn what companies we can trust, and which ones we can't.

Awesome conversation with Robert Palmer about solutions for our basement water intrusion. Definitely would recommend to others!
