  I have dealt with Northern One Hour and Benjamin Franklin on 2 separate instances of repairs, in both instances novice level techs come in like Hollywood actors trying to state how your house is ready to blow up without a multiple thousand dollar repair, but you can save a few hundred if you subscribe to our $20 a month subscription. Last round with an emergent main drain on a holiday weekend they came out and stated that it would be an advanced/hard to get to main drain after walking outside for about 30 seconds and walking in my children's room stating that there might be an axis under the carpet, I pointed to the main drain that is in the laundry room that is unfinished and has full access, and asked what the $600 upcharge would be. And was told it was due to water softener pellets in the way. Shop-Vac in 5 minutes later the pellets were moved to feet and it was no longer an advanced main drain clean. All said and done they charged over $1,500 plus require you to maintain a $20 a month subscription for several years in order to not be back charged the multiple hundreds of dollars more that they randomly try to throw on top of things. This job should have been a snake instead of a hydro jet it should have been scoped and assessed and should not be upsold just make an extra buck. This company is all about greed and upselling customers and they should honestly be ashamed of themselves. Even in an emergency situation I will never use them again! Side note two and they offer free air conditioners then they sell you a $19,000 furnace, the premiums they charge are just insane, hopefully someone there has a soul and will rethink their practices someday but I won't hold my breath.

  Jake was awesome today. I've had a ton of the guys from Northern and friends at my townhouse Jake, Nick (love that guy, could fix anything), Teng and Felipe have been nothing but incredible. Super friendly dudes and they really know their stuff. Thanks again guys.

  I was lead to believe that to open a branch line in my bathroom that was plugged would be $99.00 when I called the receptionist. When the plumber showed up he wanted over $500.00. I said no way and had to pay $100.00 for him to come out here. I will never use them or the care center I work at with 30 locations will never use them. The young man that came out had nothing to do with this but I hold the company responsible for this misleading information. Look at a different company.

  Excellent job! Very thorough and explained everything very well. He saved me money with the better service plan, over what my utility company had me on.

  Jake did a great job today with my water heater issue. He was very polite and careful to explain exactly what he needed to do. I would use Northern Ben Franklin Plumbing again for any needed repairs or installations. Rod
