I confirmed when I made the appointment that I wanted to be called 30 minutes before the plumber was to arrive. The man on the phone said he would have the plumber do that. The next day the plumber showed up at about 8:15 AM while I was in the shower and I was never called. I wanted them to call so that I could personally drain the previous water heater thus limiting the time that I would be charged for the job. The plumber spent about 40 minutes doing what I wanted to do myself (His hose was frozen so he had to thaw it out and then he had to drain the water heater).
