- DRDonna RieschlJul 22, 20261.0Troy came out promptly after my call. About 40 minutes. He waved around his meter for 20 minutes and found no gas leak. He did check the stove and hot water heater as well, no leak. NO actual repair was completed. I did ask and was told $49 for the service call. I was billed $49 the same day which was charged to my CC. I was NOT made aware of an hourly rate above and beyond the $49. 2 days after the service date I was billed another $274.00 which is apparently the amount they felt was necessary for waiving their meter around the furnace, stove, and hot water heater. Again, no work was actually completed except to re-light the hot water heater and I had to find a lighter for him to complete that step. The one star is due to this companies LACK of any up front notification as to exactly how much this service call would cost me regardless of any actual work being completed. Apparently the initial $49 was just to pull into the driveway. Follow- up: Centerpoint Energy came out for FREE and found the leak IMMEDIATELY.
