  We are incredibly happy with the work Tim and Aaron did. Tim was training Aaron and it was obvious watching the interactions and discussions that they are amazing team members. Tim is extremely knowledgeable and can answer any question. He also understands the various products and how to explain them. Today was a terrific experience and I will not use any other service in the area, A1 is it for me!!! I would also like to mention that the text with the picture of our service engineer was perfect. Felt very comfortable knowing who was coming! Thank you.

  Don’t get me wrong service was great. 100% overpaid for replacing an entire garage door with rollers and rails. $6600 is still a lot for Minnesota. I don’t care who you ask even with a lifetime warranty on every single part and peace, which of course does not exist. like anything else do your research. If you need to have everything replaced at least get a second or a third opinion. Also financing anything is absolutely nuts even with amazing credit you’re still looking at 17% interest

  Dillan was wonderful he took a look at everything gave me three different examples of estimates so I can make a decision he was very precise about letting me know what and he was very pleasant easy to get along with even my dog thought he was a good man he finished the job in and let me know exactly what he did and lubricated cables the spring showed me everything showed me how it all worked I was very very pleased with A1 garage door and with the this young man thank you for sending him to fix my house as a retired senior citizen retired military and a widower he did a wonderful job I was very pleased to know and know that he'll do the best for the next place he's going to God bless him and thank you for sending to my house.

  Ryan was great in evaluating my "five years without preventive maintenance" doors, and identifying immediate and future concerns. He pointed out potential failure points, how they could break, and alternative approaches to get them safe again. My cables, torsion adjustment and rubber bottom were in bad shape and, as a recent owner of a 30 year old house, I didn't realize it. I expect to have A-1 return to get my doors made shipshape. Very knowledgeable, conscientious, prepared, helpful and friendly. I was impressed.

  I called two weeks ago to schedule a tune up as my garage door was acting up. They gave me the next available appointment, which was tonight. At the time of scheduling, I asked the AI phone system an estimated cost. It told me it would be $60 just to come out. That’s more than the advertised price for a tune up, so I asked to speak to a human and was told the AI lies. Fast forward to today, I’m sitting at home waiting for a call from the tech to tell me they are on their way when I get a text from A1. “Hello, this is A1 Garage Door Services. We have you on our schedule tomorrow, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we will not be able to make our appointment as planned. We apologize profusely if this has caused you any inconvenience. Please give us a call to get back on the schedule as soon as you’re able. Thank you!” So I get to call and wait on hold for 15 minutes because my appointment is today, not tomorrow. Finally I talk to someone. They put me on hold to call the tech and the tech’s not coming tonight. The next available appointment? Another week and a half. The consolation I get about my new appointment time? It’s 6am so they won’t cancel on you again. Their website may say emergency 24/7 repairs, but it seems I can’t even get them to show up this month. Update: The owner commented and told me to reach out and they would "expedite my service" but gave me no way to reach out. So I assume I'm supposed to call the same number and talk to AI again. Not sure what that was supposed to do for me. In the 3.5 weeks I've waited for this appointment I've gone from needing a tune up to needing a new garage door motor. I called and good news, they got rid of the AI assistant. I asked to talk to billing to see if I could get an estimate and was told they are unable to give that information. I don't know what's worse. The AI assistant would quote you an incorrect price. The billing department can't even give you a range of prices. I guess don't expect to know what anything is going to cost you until they are in your home. I will be cancelling my appointment, because I would rather not have a functioning garage door than reward this company with my business after this awful experience. I was originally recommended this company due to their quick service, but they have now lost me and any future business from the person who recommended them to me.
