  If I could give them 0 stars I would! This company took advantage of my 85 year old mother in law by charging her $3344.11 for a simple garage door repair. They quoted her around $1500. She had no written estimate, just verbal. They came out did the repairs and billed her $3344.11. We called several other Garage door repair companies in the area and was able to compare costs. This literally made me sick on how much they over charged my poor mother in law! These other garage door companies said they have all gotten complaints about the same issue with A-1! They need to be stopped! And I for one will not stop until something is done! Please DO NOT hire this company for anything! If you do, compare prices with other companies and you will see for yourself how much they charge compare to others!

  Tim and Issac were knowledgeable, patient and did the job quickly, with no mess and everything running smoothly. I had an issue and called customer service. I don't remember her name but she was awesome and resolved my issue. I couldn't be happier with A1 and would highly recommend this company.

  I couldn’t be happier with A1 and our tech, Alex. I had a lot on my plate with an upcoming move, and dealing with my garage door felt like one more thing I just didn’t have the bandwidth for. I had to cancel my original appointment, and they were still kind enough to fit me in the next day. Alex was fantastic. He took the time to understand my situation, explained my options without any pressure, and recommended the most practical, cost-effective repair that didn’t sacrifice safety. I never felt like he was trying to upsell me, in fact, just the opposite. He was honest, friendly, and genuinely wanted to help. The repair was completed quickly, the door works great, and the entire experience ended up being a minor inconvenience thanks to Alex and A1.

  First, the Technician. Very kind, professional and detailed, that's why I give this 2 stars. Second the service, charged $195 and nothing fixed. Was told the springs are the wrong ones and that the door should weight 5lbs on a scale when closed. They tried to sell me new springs installed for $1300-$1800. So I decided to call Home Depot because I bought the door less than two years ago. Home Depot sends out their sub contracted Technician and he fixes the issue in 15 minutes. Explains to me that all A1 Technician's are sent to Arizona (A1 tech told me this as well) but they are trained for sales and installation of new parts. They do not teach them adjustments or actual repair service. He tells me the springs are correct and the weight should never be 5lbs. In Arizona they do not have whats called wind ratings, so A1 Technician’s dont know this! The door should easily open and weigh about 20 to maybe 30lbs. This is to make sure it does not blast off into the garage during a tornado, "wind rating". He also tells me the springs cost $100, so A1 was going to charge $1200 to $1700 in labor for apparently maybe a hour of work. I did confirm the price after with multiple vendors. I have definitely labeled A1 as a company gouging clients for money and not actually providing service. Blacklisted.

  Tim Brinker called when he was on his way. He was so polite and explained everything so I could understand it. He looked at everything and took pictures. Sadly the door couldn’t be helped at this point and needs to be replaced. I was very surprised when he waived the charge. Being a senior in fixed income this was appreciated so much. Every little bit helps. Thank you so much for everything. The final report will go to the owners. I would recommended this company anytime.
