  From the moment we decided to purchase, poor communications between sales/quote and install team, which turned into confusion and finger pointing… and 7 months of frustration. Initially, the measurements/quote seemed great and we were told that to undercut the fireplace was a common thing. However, we were later accused by the installer of asking for something ‘special’ and he refused to do it until we escalated (the fireplace undercut was in our quote). The guy who did the quote had to come onsite during install with a rented stone cutter. One of the 2 installers was regularly defensive. One day, after getting a question, he got angry and threw trim pieces out our front door. After a piece of FP broke while under-cutting, the installer super-glued it to the FLOOR to “fix it” without consulting us. It looked terrible (see pics - It took hours for another vendor to carefully scrape it off.) The installers left less than ONE box of extra flooring- but our contractor witnessed several full boxes taken by the installers. We were NOT given a refund or discount for the boxes they took back. We had 3 steps down to our back entrance that were done poorly/incorrectly (Gaps and nails sticking out below the stairs caps - see pics). The time and effort we had to put into getting Gallaxie to fix the steps was shocking. Overall we spent 7+ months begging to get resolution and getting the run around from Gallaxie on what should have been minor install issues/errors. We were excited to work with a highly rated local company, but our customer experience was extremely POOR. We will NEVER use Gallaxie again nor recommend to friends/family. We do love our floor now but the process to get it installed was a nightmare.

  They were busy when I was in on a Saturday. I was helped by a cheerful employee who gave me answers, provided a quote and got me on my way. Great store with lots and lots of options.

  We highly recommend Galaxy flooring. Mike installed our LVP and he was the best! He communicated through email dates and times of what he was going to do. He is very reliable had great work ethic and was very meticulous. He left the place spotless. He’s just a great guy! Thank you Mike!

  I worked with Dan to get me set up. He was very patient and professional while we discussed options to meet the needs of my situation and did a couple different quotes for me. He came out to my house just to show me flooring samples and organized the install for me. After all was said and done, i have a beautiful new floor and would definitely work with this company again!
