  Spent many years painting and dealing with my wood deck falling apart. This summer I was able to get some estimates and killerdecks was by far the best price for what I was getting. Steve worked with me the whole process. I was able to know more about the new product these days not just the colors but how to Maintain the beautiful look forever. Best experience I’ve had with a project on my home. I’m forever thankful for the company and the teamwork/carpenters thank you again.

  We had our deck and screen porch built in fall 2015. I tried for months to get several contractors to bid the job. Many came out, few sent quotes. Steve came in person, drew up plans and gave me a quote in person, which impressed me. It's clear that he's a veteran in the industry and an intelligent man. He gave me a fair price. He can be very gruff at times and I can see how some reviewers were unhappy working with him. He will build your deck one way - his way with his materials. It's a good way and he uses quality materials and stands by his work. It might not be for everybody though! Our job was complex and he completed it quickly and on time. There were several problems along the way, which is normal for a large job. Not all were his either, our HOA was remarkably stubborn. We argued about some of the resolutions but in the end he did fix the problems. I've had to call him back a couple times to fix a leaky roof, adjust a door, and fix some settling. I have no issue with these problems happening and he did fix them but I would recommend some work to improve customer service. A returned email or quick text would go a long way to make me feel comfortable that he was going to fix my problem. Overall I would recommend Killer Decks. Just prepare for a bumpy ride. After a year we are still incredibly happy with the new deck and porch and get tons of compliments on it.
