We used F&S for a job we'd been putting off for 7 years; because we knew it would be "another contracting nightmare". It was excellent! Started with Derrin for the quote. Project Manager Vince did the design and "schematic". He then scheduled 4 specialty trades to get it done. Masonry, Doors, Construction and Drywall. "Before" pic was Saturday, "After" pic was the following Thursday. The thing that struck me was that, in casual conversation with the contractors, they had been working with F&S for years - some for decades. If F&S were a bad contractor, they wouldn't stick with them that long; and the same is true in reverse. They should put that in their TV commercial. Many thanks to Derrin, Vince, Chris (and Don), Aaron, Greg and Dan. Would definitely recommend.

I recently had Father & Son Construction come out to assess repairs needed at my home, including a leaking window that has caused interior damage as well as exterior fascia/soffit concerns. While they were able to provide an estimate, the experience overall was disappointing and left me feeling unseen and undervalued as a Detroit homeowner. The estimate I received was extremely vague and lacked the level of detail expected for this type of work. There was no clear breakdown of scope, materials, or process—just a general figure. For a project involving structural and water-related damage, that level of detail is not optional—it’s necessary. Additionally, the estimate was not provided on a professional letterhead or in a format suitable for submission to insurance, which I specifically requested in a follow-up email. Unfortunately, I did not receive any response. As a homeowner, especially when dealing with potentially serious repairs, I expect clear communication, transparency, and professionalism. This experience did not reflect that. I’m sharing this review for other homeowners who may be looking for detailed, responsive, and professional service. As a Detroit homeowner, I take pride in maintaining my property and investing in quality work. I expect that same level of respect and professionalism from contractors handling my home. Father & Son Construction did not live up to their reputation as a well established local Detroit! Company

I purchased a home that the prior owner had this company install aluminum fascia and gutters and vinyl soffit. I have a copy of the original invoice. Unfortunately on every peak (8 on the house) many of the seams have paint peeling right down to bare metal. I've had numerous contractors come out to give me replacement quotes as it's a real eyesore. A number of the contractors say it must be defective fascia and also every one said they don't understand why they installed such short pieces(some are only 5' when most contractors install standard 10' lengths). This creates many more seams than necessary. I left message for them to call but no response. So BUYER BEWARE!

Scheduled a quote for an addition on our home earlier in the week - she said we could do 9am-2. Why not 9am she said so we can have the rest of our weekend? Lol - absolutely! Well it’s 3pm and they never showed up! Jokes on you guys now I definitely don’t want you to come by. On to the next contractor. Thanks for nothing! No call, nothing!
