  I've held off as long as I could, it's been about 6 months since this debacle happened. I figure it's time to write the review. Long story (not so) short, back in December 2025 I had a washing machine installation go horribly wrong, thus resulting in destroyed walls and floors in my singlewide trailer. I received a settlement check from the company involved, after receiving 3 estimates (and choosing Ace from those three). My settlement check would have given me a small cushion past the estimate price. Here's the rub- Ace charged me $260 dollars for their PROFESSIONAL estimate. My singlewide trailer already had a defect in the floor/possibly the subfloor, which would have impacted installation of the flooring. I pointed it out to the estimator, along with another issue while doing the estimate. So when I received the estimate, I figured the PROBLEM part was included (getting that fixed, to be able to fix the flooring issue). At the time I chose Ace, I signed the settlement and received a check. So as the work gets started, they install walls and flooring in my bathroom, the most impacted area. The installer had to be told (by me) to cut the hole in the wall where the washing machine hose/drain were. Same for the dryer hose vent in the floor he had already laid the floor down, completely blocking the vent. I mentioned it to him. Then it got done. Another thing, I had picked out the flooring which was as close to the old flooring as could be, telling them I didn't want that if it would go over the estimate price. Flat out. They said it didn't. Now to the point where they come to a stopping point, because of the above mentioned defect. I mentioned how I mentioned that to the estimator, and they acted clueless. They cannot finish the job (without the possibility of it going into disrepair again). Now, at the end of several conversations, and the work not being able to be finished because of the one defect I mentioned above, they tell me the amount due (at that unfinished point) was 1,000 plus over the estimate price. Said it was cost of materials. The owner of the company called it a wash and settled with me for the original estimate price (the job was maybe 3/4 finished). I'll give him props for that. He was apologetic, too. Also he did suggest various different programs that could possibly help (which none could, or didn't respond to me- H4H being one, since I cannot get insurance on my trailer, because I don't know the exact year, believe me I tried finding out). So months later I still have an unfinished flooring project, tons of leftover flooring and materials to install it, and no way to get this problem fixed. Cannot get a home improvement loan on a singlewide trailer. Don't make enough money to do it alone. Can't get the flooring installed without the main defect being fixed, which AHS knew about! My place is only a singlewide trailer, and it's nothing fancy, but I finally got a home of my own, and now it's in shambles. It's not a castle, but it's My Castle. It's in disrepair, not due to the original disaster, but due to my faith that AHS was a professional company who knew what they were doing.

  Phillip did a great job for us in replacing 9 ceiling lights and fixing weatherstripping on 3 doors. Great communication. Definitely recommend.

  Work was fine, but beware that there is 100% markup on parts needed, even when you pay their hourly rate to go get the parts! This is never communicated to the customer. Contract speaks to Industry Standard markup….which according to published sources, for Traverse City area handyman services is 30-35%!! I called to discuss this issue and the customer service representative refused to engage on the issue and said it was mandated because they are a franchisee. He said he was sorry and wished me a good day!

  The company sent Graham to fix some windows, I could not be more pleased. Professional, courteous and got right to work to fix what he could, then ordered parts for the rest. Very impressed with the service! So efficient. Will definitely use them again in the future.
