  We are so happy with the experience we had with Nichols Flooring! They did an excellent job blending the new flooring they installed with our existing and left the space clean and dust free. The whole process was seamless and we will recommend them to anyone looking for have wood flooring repaired or refinished.

  Greg's team installed hickory in our cottage and it looks great! Another installer wanted to have transition strips everywhere, Greg and his guys were offended by the thought and put the floor in as one continuous room which looks amazing. They even put the floor right up to the tile in our kitchen without a transition piece. We couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out.

  The job was professionally done on time and ahead of schedule. Greg’s long time employees are truly craftsman. It shows in how they finished some detail areas like linen closet floor and coat closet floor and the transitions to carpeted and vinyl flooring areas. They laid about 500 sqft of 2 1/4” wide by 3/4” thick red Oak flooring and finished it in place meaning they sanded it flat to make sure there were no high spots and filled all the tiny cracks between board ends and applied three coats of clear seal in after installation. This process takes longer and requires more skill but results in a continuous smooth surface with no indents (dust and crumb collectors) as you might see with prefinished hardwood.
