I had these guys install a pretty high-end Clopay door on my house in Wyandotte. Well north of 20k install. It creaks while moving, makes large clang noises while going up or down, does not stay balanced at all and never did - I'm pretty sure it's the wrong sized spring, but I'm no expert.
But on top of this, they've been out at least 4 or 5 times now to do basically nothing to really fix it - just bandaids where it'll mostly work for a month or two and then back to business as usual, meaning, it tries to close but then the opener says there's "too much closing force" and it goes back up. Over and over. What I have to do, and even this doesn't work every time, is hit the button, then run over to the door and grab and hold it on its way down so it can come down more softly. That gets it to not throw the "closed with too much force" error a decent amount of the time, but as I said, it doesn't always work. Combine this with the prior - that it's a pretty crap install job anyway - and I'd never recommend this company. Didn't expect it from a 4.8 rated one on Gmaps.
At least I can say that they eventually do come out to try and do *something*. But the finish on the outside is already off, it sounds absolutely awful even when it does work, doesn't work the rest of the time, and getting them to come out is still a bit of a hassle, but I guess not that bad. Just my two cents, but I'll never go with these guys again.
