  My husband and I went to several carpet stores looking for quality and a fair price. We were redoing a large bedroom and hallway/stairs. Downstairs included the living room, and sauna/hot tub room. ( A total of 4 areas). When we found the carpeting, we wanted, we took samples to 3 of the stores we visited. We showed them the exact carpet including the manufacturer. We asked for their total price for each area. We said we would accept the best bid and would not allow rebids. Everyone bid on the same color and manufacturer. All bids included padding specifications, cleanup specifications and expected completion date which took into consideration manufacturer availability. Availability was extremely important to me because soon many people were coming to town to celebrate my brother’s 90th birthday. I wanted all rooms completed a week before the family started to arrive. (probably an unreasonable request on my part) . We selected “Dalton Flooring Center” in Southgate. Michigan. Believe it or not; the upstairs area was completed 9 days after the contract was signed. The remaining downstairs was completed 2 days later. This was amazing because the owner(Sam) of the Dalton store sent his men to pick the carpeting up at the warehouse rather than wait for the store delivery. One last thing; the salesman suggested that the sauna/hot tub room did not need a heavy expensive carpet. He suggested a different lighter carpet from a subsidiary of the original manufacturer. This saved us some money. Both the salesman and owner thought it would hold up better to the steam/moisture that the area would generate. They also suggested no padding. They would glue the carpet to the existing ceramic tile. I went over every inch of the installation. I paid attention to the number of seams and pattern alignment. The bedroom and hallway had the same pattern in different colors. I only found one loose thread (about 1-1/2 inches) which was in the bedroom closet. The installer sliced it off. I am convinced I/we choose a good, reliable company. The carpeting looks beautiful. Thanks too Sam(owner), Ron( salesman) and 2 professionals installers . Let the birthday celebration begin!

  Hello, was looking for carpeting to be installed in my condo, I was referred to a gentleman by the name of Big John at Dalton flooring. Big John was very personable and knowledgeable, he helped me with choosing the carpeting that I was looking for and made my experience great with a very positive outcome. On top of that the installers that came to do the installation we're outstanding. Thank you Dalton flooring much appreciated. Kelly

  Very professional from John who helped us with the carpet and tile to Wayne and Adual who expertly installed both carpet and tile. Very nice and pleasant.
