  Kyle came out to add a layer of R30 insulation to my attic in my garage. He was wonderful, did things as I asked, and was, as always, very nice to work with. This is the second time I’ve had the Ace Handyman guys out and I’ll be calling them again for my next project. Very pleased with all the work they have done and I’ve already recommended to friends.

  I had problems in two of my doors where the door is not squared inside their frames. This caused problems in opening and closing them. Called ACE based on my previous positive experience with their branch in Troy. I gave them pics of the two doors, and asked to square the doors and change the hings. Indeed, I asked to do the weather strip too. I had two main issues: 1- Their handyman kept calling to change the appointment. In one time, he didn't show up and had to call ACE to reschedule. 2- None of what I asked for was done. Hinges were not replaced. Doors are still not squared and one door doesn't close easily. Weather strips were not done. 3- When I informed them about these problems, I was told very unacceptable reasons. So, I won't recommend them for big jobs. I thought they can do it, and I was not right.

  On July 20 I used Ace Handyman Services in Bloomfield Hills. I needed some cove molding installed on my kitchen cabinets so I asked for someone who had finish carpentry experience. That's not who they sent me. Some of the trim installed was loose in spots, and another piece of trim is so crooked it will need to be removed and replaced with a new piece. For $125 and hour and a $70 travel charge ($476 total) I expected better. I will not use this service again and I do not recommend it. CH
