  I’m not really the type of person to leave a bad review for anyone, but I feel this one is necessary… My husband and I started the process of getting a well done through Dave’s Well Drilling a little over two years ago in October and it has been nothing but a nightmare since. All information given is estimated to the date: * Oct. 21, 2024: Well work/setup began. * Oct. 24, 2024: Basement flooded to roughly 6 feet; pumps were installed that night, with larger pumps brought in the next day. * The basement became unusable, with damage/loss involving heating, water, stored belongings, etc. * Later, a crushed sewage pipe caused raw sewage/drain backup around January 2025. * Dave’s Well Drilling / Scott was involved in the well work. * Insurance eventually signed off when it was believed the problem had been fixed. * The problems continued, including ongoing leaks documented with photos. * Around April 9, 2026, we documented that it was still leaking. * A trench roughly 7 feet deep was dug beside the house toward the alley. * A sump pump was installed that we didn’t want/were concerned about. * The work resulted in gravel being removed/lost from the driveway and significant mud/clay damage to the yard. * We were also concerned about basement floor cracking/sinking * Well-related debt came out to be around $23,000 total. It started when they hit a line, flooding our basement all the way up to the ceiling. We had to sleep with all the doors open for about a week (in cold Michigan October), and couldn’t even shower or cook for about a month. We lost everything in the basement. Our heat, our water heater, and all the sentimental things like baby books, wedding pictures, and awards we’ll never be able to get back. Our yard was destroyed, and was never fully recovered. The insurance covered loss of some personal items and all of the water heater, home furnace. Meanwhile, Dave’s Well Drilling had no qualms tracking the mud through the house until the floor was crusted over. We had to force our cats to live in our only bedroom with the door closed for two months just to keep them from being let loose while we were away at work. One of them ended up being so stressed by it, she got sick and we had to put her down… They charged us about $20,000 in total which we found out later was way more than we should have been charged… and lost two years of our lives we will never get back. We tried to be patient and understanding. Things happen. We get that. Sometimes it can’t be controlled. So, we tried to be kind to the workers but got nothing but slack in return… Scott was the absolute worst to work with. We tried calling him at least twenty times when our well continued to leak years after it was supposed to be “finished” and he would not answer the phone or return our calls. When he did, he gave us nothing but attitude as if we were an inconvenience to him. Any time, my husband called the receptionist was standoffish and or showed no care. Scott didn’t show any remorse at all. An inconvenience… After they destroyed our house, took two years of our lives, put us in a financial crisis, disrupted our marriage severely, and inevitably sped up the death of our beloved cat. I don’t believe we will ever truly get back what all this company has taken from us. We’ve grieved, we’ve cried, we’ve struggled more than I could ever explain. And I just couldn’t go on without writing this review, in the hopes that no one would ever have to go through the same.

  I would like to thank everyone from Dave's well and definitely recommend them. From first phone call to triaging my well issue they were efficient knowledgable and polite. Thank you especially to Jason who came out to assess and repair the well issue. Once he arrive had water in less than a hour. He was knowledgeable efficient and diagnosed the problem and what needed to be done.He also advised me re. moving tank from the ground inside my cabin in the future and possible cost. THANK YOU!!

  I had my well pump go bad on a Monday evening and when I called Dave’s Pump Services on Tuesday morning they were willing to make me their first stop of the day. They came out in less than an hour to diagnose and replace my pump motor with a new one they had with them. I was up and running in less than an hour. Their customer service was excellent. They gave me advice on how to plan for the future and to extend life of my aging shallow well. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs pump services.

  Just received the best service from Dave's Well Drilling and Pump Service. The gentleman were very punctual, polite and kind They knew exactly what the issue was and replaced a faulty pressure switch with a switch I already had on hand. He made some recommendations about a sand filter to be installed eventually --otherwise no sales gimmicks used or tactics to sell me something I didn't need. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone needing service or a quote. A+++!!
