  Hartman's Hammer did an excellent job building my deck. Worked with me to discuss my options with no pressure. They were on schedule and on budget. They cleaned up like they were never there. They did a top notch job on our deck and we couldn't be happier! Highly recommend Hartmann's Hammer for any of your decking needs. (They even jump started my riding lawn mower for me) Great character guys, you won't be disappointed!

  Simply the BEST! I saw multiple reviews, all 5 Star, that led me to Hartman’s Hammer as my choice to do a major overhaul of my 11-year-old outdoor patio living space (lanai). The structure had been well maintained over the decade since is construction, with several cleaning’s and re-stain efforts. But Michigan’s climate finally won the fight against the all-wood facings, and the structure was showing clear signs of water damage. Hartmans Hammer gave me what I thought was a very fair and honest appraisal of the work, man-hours, and materials that would be required to renovate and make my space “better than new”. You can judge the result for yourself in the before & after images. I could not be happier. The space truly looks better than the day it was completed, 11 years ago. Chad’s business is honest, punctual, professional, and meticulous in his pursuit of excellence and a satisfied customer. I have done numerous upgrades and hired many contractors to work at my home the past 13 years. Chad is, without question, the absolute best I have worked with. I would hire none other than Hartman’s Hammer again for any deck build or exterior space refurbishment. His work and attention to detail are superior. He and his team are true craftsman. Do it once and do it right. His excellent communication skills match his outstanding carpentry skills, and it was truly a pleasure working with him, from the initial meeting and estimate, to his returning unused materials so he could credit back the expense to my final bill. PERFECT experience start to finish! Contract with him quickly, because this level of quality books out fast. My neighbors have already asked for his contact info after seeing his results. Thank you for the phenomenal work and restoring an amazing space for my family to enjoy. There are none better!

  Chad was fantastic to work with. Polite, professional, and responded to any and all questions. His crew emulated the same great characteristics. They helped us replace deck stairs that had rotted through. Great to know they can help with both small and larger deck projects. Highly recommend Hartman.

  Warning! Be prepared to experience EXCELENT home services by a company that's qualified, certified and cares about delivering great customer satisfaction. I've used Hartman's Hammer on several projects from a beautifully installed kitchen backsplash to customized floor and molding projects. Recently, I referred him to my 89 year old mother for a couple of projects. She is EXTREMELY happy with his painting and bathroom renovation services!
