  Working with Abbey Flooring was a disappointment. They were recommended from my parents, who had a great experience, sadly we cannot say the same. The workers doing our glued down vinyl in the basement did a very careless, messy job. Come to find out, this was their ”first big job”. They left adhesive glue ALL over our basement floor, and left wipes for us to “clean it ourselves”. If I’m paying $3,700 for basement flooring, I’d expect the workers to appropriately install it and clean up any glue that has been smeared all over the place, as if they were rushing. Please see attached photos. The area they cut around the pole looks carelessly done as well. We were very disappointed at the workmanship. Next, we had our kitchen, and 2 upstairs bathrooms installed with vinyl. The installer cracked our baseboard, gouged our bathroom door, and reinstalled the dishwasher kickplate incorrectly in front of our dishwasher so it would not open all the way. There was a dent left on our refrigerator, that we did not note prior, but the installer denied it was from him. Something to note, is that these 2 jobs were done by 2 different installers that are hired by Abbey flooring. I paid Abbey Flooring $8,060, which is a lot of money, and expected quality work in return with workers who RESPECT my home, belongings, and property, and do not damage it. I also anticipated *experienced* installers who were not given our house as a trial run for their “first big job”. I hope going forward, Abbey flooring hires more reputable installers. The installer who damaged our upstairs did offer to come back and do repairs. However, at this point, 1.5 months in we really want to be done working with them and asked him to just fix the dishwasher, since it was unable to open. We will fix the rest of the damages on our own dime. At no point were we offered any money off or back for the $8,060 we paid them. I would not recommend Abbey Flooring or use them again following this experience. This experience felt careless and rushed.

  6 years ago we bought hardwood floors from Abbey Flooring. We had an amazing experience. The floors look amazing. A huge thank you to Debbie for having us buy extra flooring. We recently had water damage and had to replace half of our kitchen floor. THANK GOODNESS Debbie had us buy extra!! Thank you Debbie, you’re the best!!

  My husband and I are huge fans of Abbey Flooring for many reasons First is Debbie Reynolds, salesperson who knows her stuff and takes great pride in helping the customer!! From start to finish she followed up and helped us make choices! We actually live in Troy and this establishment is in Livonia but they came recommended to us 5 years ago and we have now had them out 4 times for carpeting jobs. Last one was basement job - very large space. Installers Ken and Jake again came through with a professional job working hard to ensure no seams showed. Thanks Abbey Flooring!! High Five 🙌

  EXTREMELY HAPPY CUSTOMER! We received awesome customer service from the moment we walked in the door. Had no idea what I wanted but Ed made recommendations and worked with our budget. He made something overwhelming to us so easy! Installers showed up on time and were very professional. They did an amazing job laying the plank flooring in kitchen, foyer and powder room in 2 days! It turned out beautiful. I can’t wait to start my next project, using them! I highly recommend Abbey Flooring for all your flooring needs!
