  I just received excellent service from Michigan Plumbing! I am a new owner of an old Cape Cod home built in 1953 in Colonial Village, Lansing. The bathroom tub drain was an older style that prevented the use of a screen or strainer to keep hair and other debris from clogging the drain. Michigan Plumbing provided same-day service to change out the old fixture by sending David to do two things: 1) He removed the existing tub shoe and broken piping for the tub shoe and installed a new tub shoe with new plastic piping and tested for leaks. 2) He removed existing overflow gasket and installed new gasket and tested for leaks. Because the fixtures were old, this was not an easy job. David, who is smart, knowledgeable and very capable, quickly overcame every setback in the replacement process. He checked the results for leaks by examining the fixtures both from the bottom (in the basement) and the side (through a kitchen counter cabinet). I am very grateful for his concern for the quality of the work, and the results of a job well-done exceeded all my prior experience with plumber. Plus, the price was very reasonable and I learned a lot about the plumbing in this home. I am now a big fan of Michigan Plumbing and will use them for all my future plumbing needs!

  I appreciated Bruce alerts regarding his arrival and the speed with which he got the job completed. It was also great that the needed repair parts were on his truck. He was very nice to talk with and it was a pleasure meeting him.

  Had a faulty brand new appliance. The technicians, the staff manning the phones, everybody was really concerned, conscientious and the replacement part was installed as quickly as possible. Highly recommend their service.

  I needed an estimate for a problem with flooding in my basement. We have had a flood when it rains a lot. 3x in 27 yrs. I told the person when I called to make the appt what the issue was. So I would expect someone knowledgeable about drains, sump pumps, and anything else related to an old house that has a flood every 10 yrs to come give me a quote to fix my problem. The person that came over was nice, but only fixes plugged drains. That was not my overall issue. I told the person it is a basement floor drain. That should lead the person scheduling my appt to an issue bigger than a plugged floor drain. And it is illegal to repair floor drains bc of code. So instead of getting a thorough evaluation by someone who can tell me that I need a sump pump and give an estimate, I need to have another person come out next week. Not an effective use of my time and your resources

  We had our third service call today for the same issue. Now we have a black sink with overpriced black PLASTIC baskets, with white calk around the basket. It looks like an amateur replaced them. The technician that they sent to out today, said that we could go buy some black calk and he would come back and lay it down. SERIOUSLY !! We paid $350 for this junk. I asked the technician if he would allow his kitchen sink to look like this and his reply was I’m sorry maybe we can give you a $50 credit or something, my husband told him that he could leave. Then they asked for a review so that is where we are at. I put in a call for a supervisor. We will see how this goes, so far not to promising. On a side note, MI Plumbing has worked for us several times over the years and did excellent work. Not sure what has happened, very disappointed.
