  Brandon listened to the issues we were having, he diagnosed the issues and gave his recommendations based on the opinions available. My unit needed some new parts, but it was outdated and they no longer make replacement parts for it. We had him install a new garage door opener, Brandon let us know all of the options, the benefits of each, and the cost. Brandon was very thorough and explained everything well. Thank you Brandon.

  I had a mechanical problem with my garage door so I was concerned to operate it again. I called A1 Garage Door. Although the schedule was full, my urgency lead to the employee answering my call to make a change in the schedule and in 1 hour, Jazen was at my door. He listened to my report and then began a systematic, thorough check of the entire garage door system; the frame, the operator, the springs, the door, etc. He advised me that parts i needed were under warranty with another company instead of just replacing them. That saved me a big chunk of money. He spent a good amount of time giving me great information and suggestions and a fair price for the service call. He was knowledgeable, polite and trustworthy! The whole service call was outstanding! I would absolutely use A1 Garage door again and I’ll ask for Jazen by name!

  Came the same day I was looking for a garage door repair. We pretty much expected it was at the end of its life as it’s over 20 years old. We had fixed it many times and the last guy who worked on it said this is its last fix. He was right and that was about 5 years ago. Damian was great helping us with picking out or new door and we are looking forward to updating and upgrading our garage door to look more appealing and we added window for extra light.

  The company was nice on the phone as was the person who came out, so that's why the 2 stars vs 1. But beware that they are much more expensive than their also highly rated competitors (almost 1.5 times the price for my job), and they will charge you a $59 mobilization fee to come out that you still have to pay after you find out how overpriced they are, vs others give you a free quote and no cost obligation. It was also very strange that they started at a high price and then when we said that was too high to us and we needed to think about it and shop around, two times they lowered their price to lower tiers that weren't mentioned originally, to the point where the job was then almost half of the original quote but for the "economy" option. It made us feel uncomfortable, as I wasn't expecting a feeling of haggling with a larger more well-known company, and the way they explained it was questionable. I recommend looking elsewhere first, as there are companies that give free quotes that have just as good or better Google ratings and are also larger reputable local companies, and then you aren't committed to that $59 waste of money fee after you're blindsided by the higher quote and may need to decline. Speaking with another company, they said they've heard similar complaints from their clients about this company, so I don't think it's just me with this issue.

  Garage overhead door quit working. Broken spring was the culprit. Disengaged door opener so I could open door manually. Found that opening door was beyond my capability. Called A1 Garage. Phone receptionist was professional, friendly, knowledgable, and scheduled same day service call and service man Derek was onsite during scheduled time. Derek called prior to arriving. Checked out the damage and gave me 3 options (2 year, 5 year, or lifetime warranty) for fixing. I selected the 5 year and he went to work. He had the parts and the know-how to proceed and complete the work efficiently and quickly. Also did tune-ups on the other two doors in my garage before leaving. Derek had confidence in his work, open to any questions and made suggestions for maintaining the door operation. I felt the cost was pricey (four stars instead of five) but then that's the way I feel about most everything in today's economy. In the end it's the results that are important. Did they get the job done and done well? Was it completed in an acceptable timeframe? Were the people good to work with? I'll give a yes to all these questions regarding A1 Garage service.
