I saw that the neighbor had A&B put a new well in so I gave them a call. I had gotten a price from another well company and had A&B come out to talk and get a price. The first company said that you needed to be careful and not go to deep because in Michigan you can get a salt water well. When AL from A&B came out and we talked he said that he understood the salt thing and assured me it wasn't a problem. His price was about $3000 less and since I had seen them drill next door, I went with them. They drilled to around 126 feet and were pumping around 6 gpm which was great except that it was salty. He said to just run it and it would clear up. Oh yeah, I also had them put in a constant pressure system-variable speed pump control. The salt never went away. They tried to get the speed control to work, even to the point of replacing all of it, and it never worked right. Well water has total dissolved solids TDS and for water to be drinkable the number has to be below 500, mine never got below 4500. They figured that I should be happy because they did get me 6 gpm. I finally contacted my neighbor [after the fact] and asked about his well and it's just as bad. After 6 months of salt showers, dishwasher residue and buying bottled water, we contacted another driller who understood the salt problem and did a bunch of research and we hired them to drill another well. They were great and we are enjoying drinkable usable water at 6GPM.

I highly recommend A&B Well Drilling, they were the most knowledgeable and efficient people we worked with through our home building process. It seemed like we were constantly having to check and re-check with other contractors to see if/when they were going to get the job done, but A&B Well Drilling was always on top of it and got the job done before we could even wonder or ask. They stick to their word and get the job done right. We will always use them for any of our well needs!

Amazing customer service! On-time appointment. Well had to be primed. He explained that there is more iron and gas in water this time of year. A vapor lock formed. So it wasn't long til I had water! Small reasonable charge. Was even going to change whole house filter but I didn't have spare. So he loosened enough but not leaking so I could changeout later. So thankful for this business.
