We were looking for a water filter system and was referred to CGC Home Services . Liz did a wonderful job explaining how the system works and was very informative. We would highly recommend both this company and Liz.

Awful experience. SCAMMING PEOPLE. It’s a complete shame that our experience ended so badly because it began very well. Our initial technician was very pleasant, knowledgeable and explanatory. We were provided a quote for a new water heater and a new utility sink install. This is when things start to go down hill. We had a gas leak in our water heater and had to wait a week for service. Then the tech who initially came out, was not available. We had another tech who seemed to struggle. Half way through another tech showed up. The two of them were not able to complete the utility sink install. I was advised they will come back tomorrow to finish the job. I paid 5k that day. I sat on my deck with the technician when paying and was told this amount would include tomorrow’s work. The next day no one came. The company called me and said they could get it scheduled for the following week. I said that’s unacceptable. They then got another tech (3rd one) to come out the next day. The guy said he had been briefed and knew what to do. After he had completed the work he showed me they installed a pump. I was surprised, because I wasn’t aware that was happening. He showed me how it worked and then ASKED ME FOR ANOTHER 2,200! I said that I was not made aware that I would be charged for today. I felt bad for the technician because he is just a middle man so I paid and then called the company. The company told me I should have refused the work before it was installed. I WASNT TOLD THIS IS WHAT THEY WERE DOING. I WASNT QUOTED THIS. I DIDNT APPROVE THIS. I felt scammed. You are initially quoted one price and then shocked with another AFTER work is done so the only way for you to get your money back is to have someone undo the work. Absolutely awful business. I am only giving 2 stars because Matt and Jordan were really lovely people.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My water tested soft, yet I was told my Kinetico softener needed a $3,000 rebuild. The technician never tested my actual softener or explained what was supposedly wrong with my system or what exactly needed to be rebuilt, even after I specifically asked. Wanting a second quote, I had another local water treatment company come out. Upon arrival, I told them CGC had been out and I needed a new system. Their technician, who previously worked for Kinetico, tested both my water and my softener and found absolutely no issues. My water tested soft, and my softener was operating properly. They had every opportunity to sell me a new system—I was fully prepared to buy one that day if it had actually been needed. I left a message with CGC for a manager to call me. Instead, the technician called me back. I again requested that a manager contact me. After leaving three messages with no return call, I finally reached another manager. I explained that I had paid $315 to be told I needed a $3,000 rebuild without any explanation of what was actually wrong, and that a second company had confirmed there was nothing wrong with my system. I felt that at least a portion of my service fee should have been refunded. Unfortunately, the manager was not helpful, and no effort was made to resolve my concerns. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before authorizing any major repairs!

Jordan did a yearly maintenance of my water softener and water heater and changing of the filter and brought two more filters. We also shared how I was doing and how he is doing after losing his dad a few months back, while he worked and explained to me what he did on the equipment.🌞 It was a good morning for me, brightened my day!
