  Bought a system and had regular maintenance every year. Family heating and cooling installed it incorrectly and technician said after 5 years we would need to buy a whole new system because the AC unit was improperly installed even tho family and heating came out every year and said it was fine. Apparently carrier is no longer a good brand and they are selling you junk piles after 5 years.

  Just have to say Cameron and Kyle were awesome from start to finish. They were friendly and explained everything so I could understand. My air conditioner needed fixed and they got it done. Always trust in Family. Thanks guys

  This is a long overdue review. Over the years I've had work done by family heating and cooling. They've always been honest and professional. The workers in both the office and the service technicians have always been kind and respectful and have always explained the work that needed to be done. And they are fair and reasonable. Whenever anyone asks me for a recommendation, I always tell them to go to Family. Thank you once again.

  I contacted Family Heating & Cooling to get a quote for a new HVAC system. When I called, I wasn't offered any flexibility in scheduling—I was simply given one day and time for the appointment. Thankfully, I was able to rearrange my schedule to make it work. The estimator did arrive on time as scheduled, and unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. I would have liked to identify the estimator by name, but he never introduced himself. Instead, he walked up to my door, announced, "I need to take pictures in the back," and immediately walked away. There was no greeting, introduction, or explanation of what to expect during the appointment. When he entered my home, he went straight to the basement to take pictures of my furnace without saying a word to me as the homeowner. He then came upstairs and stood silently in my hallway for over 10 minutes while preparing the quote on his iPad. There was no conversation, no opportunity to ask questions, and no effort to explain the process. Once the quote was complete, he abruptly placed the iPad on my table and said, "Here's the quote. We'll get the permit." That was the extent of the explanation. There was no discussion about the recommended equipment, no breakdown of the costs, no questions about financing, no explanation of the next steps or scheduling, and no attempt to determine whether I had any questions. He then turned around, walked out of my house, and slammed the door behind him. I also feel it's important to mention that I am a single female homeowner. The level of disrespect and dismissiveness I experienced was unacceptable. I left the interaction feeling ignored and devalued. While I can't know the reason for how I was treated, I couldn't help but wonder whether I would have been shown more professionalism and respect if I had been a man. The estimator spent less than five minutes actually evaluating my home. Purchasing an HVAC system is a significant investment, and I expected professionalism, communication, and basic courtesy. Instead, I received none of those things. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Family Heating & Cooling.
