  I called ACE Handyman Services to schedule a repair, received a quote, confirmed a time, and even sent photos of the area so they could assess the scope of work in advance. I made it explicitly clear that I was leaving town the next day and needed a firm commitment, which they gave me. Then, at exactly 1:30 PM, the moment they were supposed to arrive, I received a phone call telling me they couldn't complete the job within the promised timeline because it would take 2–3 days. This is completely unacceptable. They had all the information they needed the day before: the photos, the details, the timeline. There is no excuse for waiting until the scheduled arrival time to tell me this. The last-minute cancellation left me with no time to find an alternative, and I had to leave with the repair undone. I would not recommend this service to anyone who values their time or needs reliable follow-through.

  Dave was so helpful. The initial work was smoke detector installation. Since that didn’t take all the time. He repaired a rain barrel, helped determine what was needed to get my outside water flowing and carried some awkward items to my card for donation He was very nice to have around, cheerful, good with a vivacious dog. All around, positive. I will know next time to have two hours of work planned.
