While everyone's experience is different my home purchase has been an awful and very regrettable experience. Purchasing at Hammaker Hills has been one of the worst investments and business decisions I have EVER made. This was my first newly built home, and it has been one for a horror movie. Everyone is very nice, accommodating, and all smiles leading up to settlement because they want your business. They are your BFF to get you to the settlement table. Thereafter, you really start to see who the people you have been dealing with really are. When you start to see and have issues with your home, you are then made to feel that the low work quality of the home is all your fault. The staff that you deal with at Hammaker Hills will come across as if they want to help you get and will build you a quality home. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. In learning from this, unless you are desperate and cannot do any better you should really consider choosing another builder/community. Also, REALLY do your homework on the builder that you choose. Everyone that writes unfavorable reviews (including me) are not just making things up for no reason. The contractors that DRB uses to do the work on your house (painters, carpentry, cabinetry, floors, hardwood steps, etc.) provides an exceptionally low quality of craftsmanship materials that are used to build the homes are of very, ridiculously cheap quality, and I mean CHEAP!!!! Even if you decide to get home upgrades, you will still receive low quality craftmanship. In addition to the home's low quality, I have also had and are still dealing with other issues with the purchase of this home. I would need a blog to go into the details of the other issues as it is too much to type in this review. Bottom line, if you are a person with extremely lofty expectations and expect the best (like me) and expect to deal with genuine people who has your best interest at heart, you will be highly, highly, disappointed. If you are a person who is okay with low quality craftmanship and dealing with very disingenuous people, DRB and purchasing at Hammaker Hills is a perfect match for you. It is a terrible feeling to have so much regret on such a huge life investment that should be a happy and pleasant experience. I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am in the finished home product, and quality of service after the sale. Again, do your homework, research, and if in the community talk to homebuyers who already live in Hammaker Hills before you decide to buy a home here. DO YOUR RESERCH AND YOUR HOMEWORK! It will save you much heartache, anger, disappointment, and stress in the end.

I would not get swayed by the home appearances. While beautiful in the model homes, quality of material used in homes is incredibly cheap. The handiwork work is subpar as you will have to go back through and tighten all the door screws and more. You can tell they just bust these homes out as they make careless mistakes (my back patio didn’t have a lock for about 2-3 months after we moved in, cheap cabinet pieces weren’t even glued together in all areas). There was a shortage of supplies so we were promised a new screen for one of the rooms as it was ripped and we have lived in this unit for a year now… and no new screen - even with email reminders sent. Project managers are unresponsive. If they verbally say they will fix something, make sure you get it in writing as they will not abide. Been in the home for over two years now - convinced even more that it was poorly put together. Save your money - don’t buy with Dan Ryan or Ryan home. They are both terrible.

This is one of the worst builder to buy your home from. Customer service lacks professionalism, everything you complain about they claim it’s within tolerance level, I made a huge mistake by buying from them, I actually got confused by their name I thought it was Ryan home, Dan Ryan is by far one of the worst company I ever have dealt with. I’m yet to email the ceo of the company

I’m not sure why but this builder doesn’t want to do any kind of custom work, no matter how easy. I asked for a rectangular cutout in the closet to install a vent and they won’t do it. I didnt ask them to do this for free but custom work was not allowed due to covid. Ok fine i’ll do it myself. I asked for network cables to be run out from the ceiling of the closet instead of into a panel thats installed in the closet. This is probably less work for them but again for some reason they wont do it. And make sure to get all of your design center questions out of the way during your appointment. Dont bother trying to contact them after the fact, you wont hear from them. Ive never seen a company so resistant to working. Update: The builder decided to ignore my choice of siding color and predominantly use a secondary color. The whole front of the house uses the secondary and 3/4 of the side uses the secondary. Why did they even give me this choice?
