  After talking to several carpet and floor companies and taking home samples from several of them, I chose Carpet and Floor Express for wall-to-wall carpet and vinyl plank flooring. They offered better value for the products and provided information regarding quality of products that the other stores did not offer. Other carpet stores included carpet padding at supposedly no extra cost, but Carpet & Floor Express was the ONLY store to offer padding with a moisture barrier. The better padding increased the price of the carpet elsewhere, but not at Carpet & Floor Express. The cost of the selected carpet with the better padding was actually less expensive at Carpet & Floor Express than for the identical carpet with the lesser quality padding at another store! The price included moving furniture and ripping out and removing old wall-to-wall carpet. Installation of the carpet and vinyl planking was done expeditiously by obviously experienced workers who meticulously checked the quality of their work and frequently removed debris. Milton, the team leader, said “NO” to any request and did not answer many of my questions. This included a request to replace a small section of planking that was BLACK instead of variegated brown. A young team member whose name I don’t remember (Jose?) quietly removed that eyesore and replaced it with a section that matched the flooring. He also answered questions that Milton refused to answer. That young congenial worker made the job outstanding and enhances the reputation of Carpet & Floor Express. I was very impressed by Tony’s calm, non-confrontational demeanor when I called about issues that I perceived were occurring during the installation of the carpet and vinyl plank flooring. Tony resolved my concerns within minutes. In each case, the misunderstanding was mine, but I appreciated Tony’s concern and swiftness at resolving the issues without being aggressive, defensive, or confrontational. You can’t do better than Tony and Carpet & Floor Express on Rockville Pike, Rockville!
