  Sales representative came in was unprofessional, spilled his drink on my floor, wiped his hands on my tablecloth, burping and slurping his drink the entire time he was giving the sales pitch. Promised that at the end of each day there would be no exposed house, especially during inclement weather and rain. This was an untrue, and the house was left with open and exposed siding every day. He also messed up the original contract, forcing us to redo it, then messed up the financing options, leaving out our promotion and we had to redo that multiple times. The crew came in. They left a mess in my yard for days at a time. I found a beer can in my trashcan that was left by them while they were on site working. Additionally, they use the wrong size nails near my HVAC unit puncturing the refrigerant line. I had to call in my own HVAC person and was left without air-conditioning in my house for the entire weekend. My house got over 80°. I then had to book this Contractor to come out and fix the issue. Additionally I had to call the pro project manager to have the contractors come back out because they left outlets unsecure, and out in the open. These same outlets were left hanging from the wall every day at the end of the workday, including when it was raining out. Would not recommend people go with this company

  I’m a bit late posting this—Home Genius installed our new metal roof back in April 2026—and they were absolutely awesome! Our roof looks incredible. We’ve actually had neighbors stop and ask about it because it really stands out from the rest of the street. At first glance, $43,000 sounds like a hefty price tag, and it definitely freaked me out initially. However, it makes total sense when you look at the scope of the project. Our home is a large single-story house with vaulted ceilings, meaning the roof has a large square footage footprint with complex pitches and slopes. That price also included a brand-new skylight and full gutter guards. Plus, according to our rep and online research, a metal roof can cut heating and cooling bills by up to 25%. When you consider that this roof will last at least 70 years, the price is incredibly fair. Home Genius even offers a lifetime guarantee for the home (definitely verify the specifics with your sales associate!). We worked with Josh Lallier, who answered every single question and completely put my mind at ease. The installation crew was also amazing. They showed up right on time and completed the entire roof in just two days. A crew member came back on the third day just to finish up the gutter guards and meticulously clean the yard to ensure absolutely no roofing nails were left behind. I highly recommend them! **I'm having trouble posting pictures right now, but as soon as I figure out what the problem is, I'll get some photos of the roof listed.

  Home Genius came by to install new roof and gutters on my home, and i couldn't be more thrilled to have had work done by them. Mo, the sales rep that came to help me with the transformation of my home, explained everything in great detail on how all of the processes would go. Once we finally decided on all of the material, he went and scheduled install for a few days later. The project manager Angel Martinez, was very helpful in explaining to me that i had to replace all of the plywood on the front side of the home due to improper install and age. He walked me through both jobs seamlessly to ensure that i would be completely satisfied! the crews themselves were great to work with! they consistently kept a clean jobsite and even made sure there were no nails left on my property. in all, i am more than satisfied with the work that was done i couldn't be more grateful to the entire team at Home Genius Exteriors, for their professionalism and attention to detail, i will definitely recommend them to all.

  We hired this company to redo the entire exterior of our home and carport in Columbia, Maryland, with the work starting in November 2025. We were told we could expect the work to only last a few days at most. The first crew tried to shortcut multiple repairs, and even tried replacing wood with foam board and covering up other spots needing repair with plastic sheeting. Once that crew was replaced after a week, and the project was already way behind schedule, progress slowed to nearly a halt. The project suffered issue after issue, and excuse after excuse. The project was "completed" in February 2026, nearly 4 months behind schedule. The company blamed one manager they eventually let go, but multiple things were still not done correctly. We have requested several times that these items be addressed. While they addressed the loose channeling along the roof line, they still have not fixed the sagging carport ceiling, globbed on caulk and poorly installed flashing over the carport entrance, poor caulking (holes and globs) over other parts of the home, and carport storage doors that no longer shut once they trimmed them. They have actually had someone out twice for the carport ceiling, only for it to be worse than before each time. I am writing this at the end of June 2026, making it nearly four months after they finished, and these things are still not fixed. It seems they, at least the branch we dealt with, hires sub-contractors to come in and do poor work, and then when there are issues they have their guys do the repairs (when and if they do them). I will not hire them ever again and recommend others dont either, at least not in the local area.

  I waited several months to write this to make sure I was not emotional about it. I contracted Home Genius for three things, gutter replacement, front door replacement and repairing the front facia of my home. The gutters were replaced quickly and with no fuss, which is why I’m giving them 3 stars instead of 2. The door arrived as expected and they scheduled work to start the following Monday. Then they called Monday morning to cancel due to illness in the crew assigned the job. We rescheduled for that Friday. Then they called Friday morning to cancel because the crew’s truck broke down and rescheduled for the following Monday. The crew showed up that Monday and began work. At lunch time they informed me that they were leaving for the day and “might be back tomorrow” but they were not sure. I contacted the project manager to let him know what was going on and he came by to let me know this was not how it was supposed to be scheduled. He was able to get them back on the job a few hours later, but the work was not complete. The project manager told me they would be back the next day first thing. The crew showed up around 11 the following day to continue the work. When they left that afternoon, the job was not complete and they left a pile of trash in my front yard. I contacted the project manager and he came by to let me know they needed some other tools and supplies to complete the job and would be back when that was available. He then cleaned up the trash explaining the crew should have done that. I don’t have enough room to detail the rest of my experience, but it included the crew leaving trash behind again, waiting for supplies/tools and the project manager having to come after the crew to finish details that they missed, like caulk in certain places for example. The project manager apologized daily for the problems, but I never heard from anyone at Home Genius again. Take from my experience what you will.
