  THIS was done from the Altoona, PA office. We were lied to from the get go. The salesman Damien used scare tactics by telling us that our roof would not hold up thru the winter if we got a heavy snow our roof would collapse due to support beams and 2 x 4's being damaged from leaks etc. they would have to be replaced when the work was done, were they NO. (he showed pictures but we do not even know that this our attic, also, he said that there was soft spots and that the plywood would have to be replaced, was this done NO) The price was enormous(at least 3 times what it should be), he did not provide us with a copy of a signed contract, told us it was a 50 yr warranty and now he states that it is a 25 yr warranty. The workers were great, didn't speak English, but sales and follow-up people were not good. Finding lots of nails in our yard, we have pets and walk barefoot outside which we cannot do now because of these nails, also, lawn mower has a flat tire now because of these nails. The gutter people showed up today without notice of them coming. They are nice but again no paperwork- work order or anything. They told us what they get paid but it is no where close to what we paid for the gutters (again 3+ times is what we were charged). WE are still waiting on the 5 yr cert from the salesman, that states that our resale value will increase to full value within 5 years with this new roof, therefore increasing our property value. Also they ordered extra shingles and they take these with them when they finish the job even though you are billed for them.

  My experience with Home Genius was great. The windows team that installed my windows were friendly yet professional and very knowledgeable about the work at hand. They were able to address all of my questions and concerns. When an issue arose after demoing my upstairs bathroom window, the manager on site showed me the issues and explained the possible fixes. While the install for this particular window had to be put on hold so I can have the additional repairs done, I can say with my full chest that I recommend this company for your window replacement project.

  I have never worked with a more fraudulent company in my life. 4 weeks and my house still sits unprotected because their installer was told not to fix any issues. Not until I called to ask what was going on, Tyler told me they don't do repairs. He said "as soon as you get it fixed let me know and we'll resume work. No one came to look at the installers work and when inspected by my hire, did we discover he never took off the black material, did not inspect the wood for any water damage, did not install Tyvek wrap, and proceeded to do a horrible job putting up foam insulation over the 20+ years old black paper. It all has to be torn off now and redone. So much to do with three days left before it rains. This companyvwants your money, but they never tell you the customer has to do tge repairs vefore they will come back. This is a much longer story, but buyer beware if this horrible company with a nasty work ethic!

  Absolutely disgraceful company that tried to scare an elderly couple, my parents, into paying $45,000 for a 2500 square foot roof. Originally they told them that they could 'see the damage from the street' even though the front slope has no damages. The salesmen then spent a grand total of 10 minutes actually looking at the roof before coming up with ridiculous reasons why the whole roof needed to go. They then tried to strong arm them into getting instant financing to lock in the contract. Home Genius is lucky we did not go to the Delaware department of insurance with this predatory behavior.

  If I could give 0 stars on sales I would! am very disappointed and disgusted by the sales tactics of Mike in sales. I tried to have someone call me for a week before leaving a review but sine no one wants to call me back here we are. My roof needed replaced very badly. Yes I signed and had my install completed. The guys did great. I gave them a 5 star review. Here is my issues. I was 100% lied to to get a sale. Mike comes out to do my estimate. Tells me my roof will collapse in 3-5 years. Now this is my grandparents home. Of course I don't want that to happen. I had 2 other quotes and they didn't mention this or PROMISE what they would do would correct the damage. My quote started at 78K.WHAT! No way can I afford that. Great news he says. Our Labor Day promo is 50% off materials. Takes me to 45 K. Still out of my prices range but again promised what they will do would prevent my roof from a collapse. Guess what can you see 2 or 3 lies in there? Because 1 the price and 2 the guys were done in 1 day. Mike told me my boards were rotted. No they were not, maybe bad shape but not rotted!. We replaced boards that were not rotted. More money wasted. I needed to cancel and missed the deadline by a few hours due to my father-in-law dying. He didn't care. Told me materials were ordered and in the warehouse. You don't have a warehouse. You get materials from ABC in Milesburgh. Another lie. Very unethical. Oh I have more so a call to BBB will be next. Anything to get a sale. Great way to conduct business.
