- KPKaylah and PeterSep 8, 20261.0A damaged HVAC drain pipe was discovered concealed behind the original drywall of our Stanley Martin home after it caused water intrusion and visible mold, and Stanley Martin has declined to even inspect it. Our condominium association opened the wall and discovered the damaged pipe. We have never renovated, drilled into, or performed any work on this wall. Stanley Martin acknowledged in writing that they cannot determine when, how, or by whom the pipe was damaged, yet declined our request based on the expired systems warranty without inspecting the exposed condition. We understand warranties expire. We are simply asking the company that built our home to investigate whether this concealed damage occurred during original construction before deciding they have no responsibility. The wall is open, the pipe is exposed, and the condominium association is available to discuss what they found. We hope someone from Stanley Martin’s construction or regional leadership team will step in and actually investigate.
