Such great service from the Mallick Technician sent out to our place. Excellent listening skills for what we needed & great explanation of the costs and services he & his company offered. The Technician had a continuous commentary going after each task was completed as he worked. After a careful check by me, he encouraged me to try out the install or observe the other items he worked on. The last, but definitely not unnoticed, was how he cleaned up ALL the debris from the service. Just excellence personified!!!

Abbas from Malick Plumbing recently handled the installation of my kitchen stove, and the service was excellent. He was professional, highly knowledgeable, and utilized modern techniques to ensure the job was done precisely and efficiently.
He went above and beyond to minimize any damage to the property, carefully factoring in all variables and technical details of the installation. I was very satisfied with his work and would recommend his services.

Billy Clem provided us with great information and guidance to manage our plumbing issues. He presented options, and articulated the pros and cons for each approach. Friendly and professional. I would recommend him to any neighbor.
I think most importantly, the work was done well and I now have the peace of mind that things were done correctly, thoughtfully.
I give 5 stars for professionalism and expertise.

Reached out to Mallick on a Monday afternoon by Wednesday their crew was here working.
First I received a text that they would be here around 9am. Sure enough at 9:02 Roberto and his guy showed up.
I was on a conference call which they respected and were super polite and quiet while I was dealing with that. Then they proceeded to fix the issue I had and walked me through all the steps of why it was a problem and what they were doing to fix it. Couldn’t have asked for anyone more professional than Roberto.
I would absolutely encourage you to use Mallick for all your plumbing needs.

I recently had plumbing work done, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. The technician, CJ Campbell was professional, focused, and clearly very experienced. He took the time to assess the problem, worked efficiently, and completed the job with skill and attention to detail. He was also very friendly and easy to work with throughout the process. His expertise and capability were evident from start to finish, and the quality of his work was excellent. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, reliable plumber.
Frequently Asked Questions About Mallick Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
What types of businesses does Mallick Plumbing & Heating serve in Gaithersburg?
We work with a wide range of commercial properties including restaurants, office buildings, retail centers, medical facilities, and multi-unit residential buildings. Whether you need routine maintenance, emergency repairs, or a full system assessment, our licensed technicians have the experience to handle commercial plumbing jobs of any size throughout Gaithersburg and the surrounding Maryland area.
How do I know if my home in Gaithersburg needs a pressure reducing valve?
Common signs include banging or knocking pipes, dripping faucets that won't stop, unusually high water bills, or frequent fixture and appliance issues. Ideal home water pressure runs between 40–80 PSI — anything above that puts unnecessary stress on your entire plumbing system. If you're unsure, Mallick's licensed technicians can test your incoming pressure and let you know whether a PRV installation or replacement is needed.
What are the warning signs that my sewer line needs repair or replacement?
he most common indicators include multiple slow drains throughout your home, sewage odors inside or outside, gurgling sounds from toilets or drains, soggy or unusually green patches in your yard, and recurring backups that keep returning despite repeated drain cleaning. If you're experiencing any of these, Mallick recommends a video pipe inspection to accurately diagnose the condition of your sewer line before determining the best course of action.
Is hydro jetting safe for all drain and sewer pipes?
Hydro jetting is safe and highly effective for most residential and commercial pipe systems, but it's not always appropriate for pipes that are already severely deteriorated or damaged. That's why Mallick always performs a video pipe inspection before jetting — to evaluate the condition of your pipes and confirm the process is the right fit for your situation. Our licensed technicians will never recommend hydro jetting unless it's genuinely the best solution for your specific system.
How often should a sump pump be inspected or replaced?
Sump pumps should be tested at least once a year — ideally before Gaithersburg's wet season — to confirm they're operating correctly. Most sump pumps have a lifespan of 7–10 years depending on usage and conditions. If your pump is running constantly, making unusual noises, or you've experienced water in your basement despite having a pump, it's time to call Mallick for an inspection. We also recommend a battery backup system so you're protected during power outages when storms are most severe.
How do I know if I should repair or replace my water heater?
If your water heater is under 10 years old and the issue is isolated — such as a faulty thermostat, a bad heating element, or a minor leak at a fitting — repair is often the more cost-effective choice. However, if your unit is 10 years or older, experiencing rust-colored water, rumbling or popping sounds, or a leaking tank, replacement is usually the smarter long-term investment. Mallick's technicians will give you an honest assessment of both options and help you decide based on your situation and budget — never just what's most profitable for us.
Does Mallick Plumbing & Heating offer emergency plumbing service in Gaithersburg?
Yes — we offer 24-hour emergency plumbing service for Gaithersburg and the surrounding Maryland communities. Burst pipes, major leaks, sewer backups, and gas line concerns don't wait for business hours, and neither do we. When you call Mallick for an emergency, you'll reach a real person who will dispatch a licensed technician to your home as quickly as possible. We arrive prepared, assess the situation thoroughly, and get to work resolving the problem with the same quality and care we bring to every job.
What should I do if I suspect a gas leak at my Gaithersburg home?
If you smell sulfur or a rotten egg odor, hear hissing near a gas line, or notice dead vegetation above a buried gas line, leave your home immediately without turning any switches on or off. Once you're safely outside, call your gas utility provider to shut off supply and then contact Mallick Plumbing & Heating for prompt inspection and repair. Gas leaks are serious emergencies — never attempt to locate or repair a gas line issue yourself. Our licensed technicians are trained and equipped to handle gas line work safely and to code.
How do I know what kind of water treatment system my Gaithersburg home needs?
The right system depends entirely on what's actually in your water — which is why Mallick starts every water treatment consultation with professional water testing. Hard water is extremely common in the Gaithersburg area and typically calls for a water softener, while concerns about contaminants, taste, or odor may point to a filtration system, reverse osmosis unit, or UV purifier. Rather than guessing or defaulting to the most expensive option, we let your water test results guide our recommendation so you get a system that genuinely addresses your home's specific needs.
Why do my drains keep clogging even after they've been cleaned?
ecurring clogs are almost always a sign of an underlying issue that a basic drain snaking didn't fully address. Common causes include heavy grease buildup coating pipe walls, tree root intrusion gradually reclaiming cleared space, deteriorating pipe sections that snag debris, or a partial blockage deeper in the line that was never fully removed. Mallick recommends video pipe inspection for drains that keep backing up — it lets our technicians see exactly what's happening inside your pipes and identify the real cause so we can resolve it permanently rather than offering another temporary fix.
