  Isak was very knowledgable and reliable. He identified that the error code may indicate a sensor issue. He restarted the system and tested for any refrigerant leaks. With no leaks, it is most likely a defective sensor to be covered by warranty. Isak was polite, informative, solved the issue and addressed my concerns.

  James A. Wheat gives descriptions, doesn't say 'no', finds and fixes root causes, very professional. Ben and his apprentice Giovanni worked hard all day to replace my Hot Water Heater (this one has a 10 year warranty!), fix faucet switches under kitchen sink, replace faulty ice-maker water line switch. I live in Lakelands Ridge condos for 20 years. I feel ensured of quality and attention with James A. Wheat & Sons. I removed a star due to this new business decision to charge customers the credit card transaction fees of 2%, which is not mentioned until payment is due. For years, this has been paid by merchants, now all stores are doing it. Consumers pay interest a lot, merchants who take credit cards should and have paid the transaction fees transparently up until 2026.

  I was very happy with the work from Eric A and the communication throughout the project from the initial consult to installation. I had several estimates before choosing James A Wheat and sons for my water heater (they also installed my other water heater 15 years ago so I believe in their quality work). They were more expensive than some of the other quotes, but I felt I got the value in what paid for. He was definitely the most knowledgeable and communicative during the consult. Thanks!

  Technician was professional and friendly and took his time doing the annual inspection. Our system was performing pretty well but it is getting old. Technician made a few recommendations, but also suggested thinking about a replacing AC and heating furnace since they are both about 15 years old. There was no pressure, but after discussing it with the technician and then a manager we decided to replace the aging units. James A. Wheat and Sons do things throughly and they never try to pressure to get things you don’t need. We look forward to our upgraded HVAC system.

  James A. Wheat, and our technician, Yidi Chen, did a fantastic job servicing and cleaning our VERY disgusting mini-splits. After they were improperly stored during construction, they were growing mold and had… biological material imbedded from the pigeons who used one as a perch. Yidi took the time to clean them thoroughly and came back for a second round when one still had an odor. The company is super responsive and helpful.
