    Called Logan for a boiler issue. They showed up promptly, tech was professional. Diagnosed my problem: replace a pressure release valve. Wanted to charge me $200 for a $30 part. I asked about the warranty they said 30 days. I wont be using heat till winter, so 30 day warranty is useless. Tech said that's company policy period. Forked over the $95 diagnostic fee.

    I hired Logan Mechanical to investigate a persistent vibration and humming issue affecting my first-floor apartment in a three-story building. The noise and vibration come from the AC units mounted in the exterior wall of the units above mine and have been causing significant sleep disruption for months. I specifically hired them to: • Inspect the two AC units above my apartment for potential mechanical issues • Evaluate whether the wall sleeves or installation could be transmitting vibration into the building structure • Provide recommendations or solutions to reduce vibration and noise During their visit, the technicians briefly checked both AC units. One unit had visible mold buildup, and the other was heavily covered in dirt. They ran the systems briefly at maximum speed, then concluded that the units were “normal” and that there was no mechanical issue. However, the issue is not based on peak operation. The problem occurs when outdoor temperatures are mild and the systems short-cycle, turning on and off every few minutes. Based on the pattern of operation, this appears to be related to thermostat control and cycling frequency rather than constant operation. I explained this and asked them to evaluate the system under those real operating conditions, but they declined and maintained that if the units sounded normal at full speed, there was no issue. They also did not inspect the wall sleeves, mounting points, or any potential vibration transmission through the building structure, which was a key reason for the service call. No recommendations were provided regarding isolation, dampening, or other mitigation options. After the inspection, the technician spent over 20 minutes preparing a report. I later had to follow up multiple times to receive it by email, as it was not sent promptly. I paid $190 for the visit and left without a meaningful assessment of the actual problem or any proposed solutions. The report stated everything was “normal,” which now makes it difficult to move forward with the condo association or neighbors to properly address the underlying issue. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company for HVAC inspection or diagnosis work.

    I've used Logan mechanical for 5 years to maintain my boilers/radiators and AC, install mini split AC system, and insulate ducting. The owner and his team are all very professional and friendly, and they provide excellent service. Highly reccomend them.

    I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience with this company was extremely disappointing. First, I want to recognize Tony J., the technician who came to our home. He was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. The company is fortunate to have someone of his caliber representing them. Unfortunately, everything after the service visit was frustrating. From the beginning, we explained that while we appreciated the quality of Trane systems, we were also interested in Mitsubishi options because they were more affordable and a better fit for our current situation. We also made it clear that we have an infant and a toddler who were struggling in the heat and that we wanted to move as quickly as possible. The first set of proposals contained only Trane options. We reached out and reminded them that we had specifically requested Mitsubishi quotes as well. They apologized and promised to send revised proposals. When the new proposals arrived, they again included only Trane options. We contacted them a third time, explained the situation once more, and were again assured that Mitsubishi quotes would be sent. That was several days ago, and we have not received any further communication. As of today, it has been seven days since this process began. During that time, we have had to spend much of the week staying in hotels because the heat in our home was not manageable for our family. What should have been a straightforward quoting process turned into repeated follow-ups, delays, and unanswered requests. After receiving multiple proposals that included only the most expensive options we had specifically said were outside our budget, and after repeatedly requesting Mitsubishi quotes that never arrived, it honestly made us feel as though we were being pushed toward purchasing the higher-priced systems. Whether that was the intent or simply poor communication, that was the impression left by the experience. I can't speak to why our repeated requests for Mitsubishi quotes were never addressed, but after being told multiple times that they would be sent and then receiving no response, it was difficult not to feel ignored during a time when we made it clear that our situation was urgent. If you're considering this company, be prepared to follow up repeatedly and verify that your requests are actually being addressed. Based on our experience, the customer service and sales process fell far short of expectations. The only reason this review is not even harsher is because Tony J. provided excellent service and professionalism throughout his portion of the process.
