  Experienced an electrical issue Saturday afternoon and contacted Stilwell who dispatched Ms Tesha Dorsey. Ms. Tesha is an outstanding electrician, very knowledgeable and efficient. Quickly she diagnosed the source causing the problem and assisted me in contacting BGE and alerting them that an emergency matter was on hand and needed to be addressed. BGE is another story. Have an electrical problem - contact Stilwell/Ms. Tesha Dorsey.

  I had an emergency service call to assess water dripping from the bge meter inside my house. Tesha arrived promptly and assessed the issue. She was so kind and courteous, and I am pleased with the experience.

  I had a terrible experience with Stilwell Electric. First and foremost, I requested an inspection with estimates on May 20. This cost me $205, and to this day, I have still not received a formal report or estimates. I have only received an invoice with a high level summary of the service provided. It does not include any specific upgrade recommendations, pictures, nor estimates. I followed up via email a couple weeks later and received a response saying that estimates would take 2-4 weeks, which is contrary to the 2-4 business days they advertise on their website. About 2 weeks later, I received a phone call asking whether or not I needed the estimates still, and I said, yesm I do still need the estimates. The lady on the phone said that I should receive the estimates in about 2-3 weeks, or about seven weeks after my initial inspection. I reached out again over a week ago asking for the estimates, and I still have not received a response. I have since used another service who found an abandoned hot wire in the electric panel, which was not mentioned on the invoice they provided me (again, I have not received any sort of formal report, just the invoice), so I asked for a checklist of what was inspected, since the technician didn't note the hot wire while inspecting my electrical panel. I am submitting my complaint to the Maryland State Board of Electricians, since this seems like a huge item to miss for an electrical inspection. Additionally, for my original inspection in May, they quoted an 8am to noon arrival window when I scheduled the appointment, and then the day before, they called to confirm a noon-4pm window - they didn't even acknowledge that they got the window incorrect. So my seller scrambled to change their work schedule only for the technician to show up at 9am. Overall, I am incredibly surprised by the lack of communication and professionalism from Stilwell Electric. I would highly recommend finding another company for your electrical needs.

  Tom installed a new outdoor outlet (Pasadena area) and he was so very kind and courteous and knowledgeable. This is why we continually use Stilwell for our electrical and plumbing needs as every experience we have had has been exceptional. Thank you, Tom!
